As soon as I reached the headquaters in the northern United States via helicopter, you could tell this place was a wasteland. I quickly became friends with golamb71, imafallout, and flashfirestorm13. We liked to talk and have fun, but then APC came. Attack after attack, bombing after bombing, fellow soldiers crying out for help, the blood, the screams. It's all too real these days. I think to myself in my tent, "Which one of my friends will be missed?"

Those savages drop napalm day after day. Burning bodies. The smell of flesh burning away by the firey demon. It's hard on us soldiers. Watching our friends, passing on. But the way I think of it, the deaths of my friends give me more of a reason to destroy the enemy. Every day, you can hear the engines. Jets attempting to bomb us, some of them succeed, yet others are shot down by our Anti-Air guns. Our commander is calling us to meet him outside his command tent, so I must finish up this entry. Maybe today, we can finally end the terror of the attacks.
Should I continue? |

It's a good story, it really is. Specify more though on the location, outside conditions, to give us a better visual.

It's Christmas day, some of the soldiers have decided to pitch in and make some macaroni art, just to cheer us up from these snowy and depressing conditions. Today, it's slightly quiet. The jet engines are gone, maybe APC is giving us a break for a day, just to celebrate Christmas. The forest is abundant with life, apart with all the napalm and explosives raining from the sky, the birds are chirping. We made a few bonfires around the tent area, rosted marshmellows, hot dogs, and chesnuts. We sang Christmas Carols, danced, and had fun for the first time in a week. Then, you could hear the jet engines. The alarm rang as you began to see bodies falling from a cargo airplane, the parachutes, and then gunfire. They landed about 6 clicks in front of the base, and began the fight.
After about 5 hours of fighting, we had managed to hold off the enemy raid. About one hundred or two troopers dropped from the sky, and what it looked like about two thirds of that force was killed, and about 30 to 40 of our men were killed, but we've found that the number is rising.
This Christmas was certainly one to remember. |
