Is there any way to do it directly? Like getting the age property from Player? Is there another way if there's no direct way? Like testing for certain character/hair meshes? |

Not unless you do a harmless psychology test of simple choice and compare them against the most widely known answer based on gender.
A simple question which is widely accepted as a good distinction of gender (unless known before hand) is:
"Would you want a baby sister or baby brother?"
To that question, the US Journal of Psychology says that 89% of boys would pick baby brother.
But that is just too much work...huh? |

| Thanks for the feedback. I guess I'll just define the player as female if she is wearing a female mesh or female hair. This isn't to tag players as a certain gender, I just have a gui with a 'Mr' or 'Mrs' field and would have liked to made it specific to the player. |

Eh. not really 100% reliable but.
Just check if theres a charactermesh with the Female torso ID.
REALLY unreliable in most cases, but it's the only way I can think of. |

I would just allow them player to choose what gender they want to be.

| Agreed with Phellem. Besides, there may be some transgenders playing, some girls may want to be boys, and some boys may want to girls. |

Agreed with Phellem. The easiest and most foolproof way.

Make a GUI when you spawn that says "BOY or GIRL".
Whichever one you click appears above your head or whatever. |

Well, there is one way... But some girls may not have it.
Check to see if the robloxian has a pink hair due, the one girls have. |

| The girls that joined Roblox before that update would not be recognized as girls though. |

| Just ask in a Gui, "are you a boy or a girl?" It's a common question to find on websites (such as Roblox), and they can't complain for it being inaccurate. |

@Miz
What if a guy bought the hair? And even so, anyone could do anything they'd like so it wouldn't matter.

Ah, my bad. Thought you could buy the girl hair, it was just the guy's. But what if a guy chose to click to be a girl?

How about you check more than one thing. Check the hair if they're a guest, Check the meshes, and maybe even faces? I think there may be some faces that are more lent towards boys or girls. And it also wouldn't matter if it was a chick wanting to be a dude, or vice versa because if they want to act like the opposite gender, then wouldn't they play as it too?
