No need for a CS :D
The only rule is to not write something crazy when it wouldn't fit in to the story. I kind of would like the story to flow easily, making it comprehendable.
Please and thank you! Enjoy. |

The noise escalates from behind me.
Footsteps.
I push off the ground harder with my feet, trying to increase my speed. I briskly peer around me – the forest is pitch black, only to be lightened by the glowing moon and the stars that danced throughout the velvet night sky. Green eyes emit from nowhere out of the darkness and I gasp. My heart pauses and fear spasms through me. I turn abruptly to the right, trying to get away.
Pain ripples through my shoulder, and I let out a cry. Even though I can’t see it, I know I have more than a bruise. Fire bloomed through my shirt and the blood trickles down my arm.

(I'll give it a try...)
I caught only glimpses of my pursuer, but I could come to no conclusions with these vague details. Meanwhile, the pain in my shoulder swelled up. I struggled beneath my pursuers' grasp, but he - or it - would not let go. Whether it was using its teeth or its claws, I didn't know. But telling them apart was the least of my worries: they were both afflicting, and that was all I was concerned about for the time being.
I couldn't recall how it happened, but I managed to pull myself free. I ran in a blur to escape the densely-packed woods, but I had no sense of direction. As far as I knew, I was only traveling deeper into the ominous forest that didn't seem, by any means, promising.
But, I ran all the same, without much regard toward what may become of me out in this fatal forest... |

(( lolwhyamidoingthis.))
Every step I take is dangerous, and I know that wether or not I escape right now could determine my future. At this point, there was either two ways things could go. I either get caught, and mauled by whatever is chasing me, or I could escape. Escaping was my obvious preference, but escape to where? I see nothing but woods everywhere I look. I felt stupid. Stupid for taking another one of my friends' ridiculously dangerous dares to go into the forest. Even if I make it out alive, all I get is six measly dollars from him, hardly worth this trouble.
I realize with a start that I was letting my mind drift, but by the time I'd done that, I was at the edge of the woods, the snapping of jaws becoming louder and louder behind me. Suddenly the woods gave way to a clearing, bathed in moonlight. It would've looked promising, beautiful even, if I wasn't being chased. But as I continued to run, I realized that I wasn't being chased anymore.
I turn around, and stare at the line of trees that gives way to the clearing. The shadowy green-eyed beasts shrink back and whine, as if afraid, staring past me.
Well, not afraid of me, clearly. I feel my stomach drop as I hear booming, heavy footsteps approach. |

| The miraculous footsteps continue to boom behind me. I was afraid... frightened of what could be coming for me. I stand still, frozen by fear - not risking to turn around and seek the person - or creature - that rests behind me. |

I hear the jets rush by, heading for the escalating batlefeild.
The blood of my brethren lay in Crimson rivers, while the oil of the great machines seep into the dark forest.
The fire raged through the forest, burning children fleeing. Victims of war. Prisoners to their enviroment and their own mind.
Driving them witless. New York City ahead layed in ash and smoke, in ruins.
Why?
Why did this happen to the inocent?
I didn't know, and I couldn't, as a hole formed in their flesh. |

I run through the city, seeing childre and people fleeing from dust and flame.
I see people fleeing to buildings and the woods.
Why?
Why can't they just think of where they are going?
Too late. The tanks rolled in, blowing guts into the air, screams of people flutter into the air.
Jets launch misssles, ricocheting into buildings, destroying them.
Then I saw why they are killing.
If they don't kill first, the will die.
Kill or be killed. |

I walked into a tower, unaware of the stench of death.
Then I see a girl on the staircase.
"Catch me...!" It giggled and ran up.
I chased it, yelling in Russian,"No!You will fall..."
She stopped, staggered, vomited at the sight of a corpse and fell down down down down...I hear a sickening CRACK.
I look down, but there was only an enemy soldier, saying,"Freeze!"
I didn't know what happened, I just got a bullet in the shoulder, and appeared outside.
Why? |

Pilosiphy is a matter of time, I suggested.
Buildings lay shackled.
Dead bodies everywhere.
Beasts closing in on corpses.
Beasts...?
One of them looked at me, and I knew, they were demented people.
I ran faster than ever.
Away from the innsane.
Away from everything.
Why? |

| I take cover in a tornado shelter. I find some ammunition and a AK47. I rush outside, shooting at the beasts. I then run into an abandoned house. I see a beast, bigger than the rest. I shoot at it. The bullets bounce off of the beast. I don't know what to do. |

I pause and glance around, gazing around the earths floor, searching for something better. But what I needed wasnt a weapon. It was time. Time was at essance, because the seconds i've spent sitting here - it was useless.
The beast took its chance and pumled me - and thats where everything went black.
***
I woke up with a start, and a scream rising in my throat that wouldn't come out. Sweat beeded down my face and I was tangled in sheet covers. I let my eyes drift to the familiar sky blue colour of the wall... the patterned sheets over me..... the alarm clock that was blaring as it rests on the night stand next to me.
I was in my room.
How- It was a dream! It was just a dream, wasnt it? Nothing more... I gasp and quickly grab my Dream Journal, quickly scribling down before I lost thoughts and images of the dream. The pen rushes back and forth on the page, word after word untill nothing more came.
I am not like "normal" teenagers. Ever since I was 13, my dreams havnt been kept in their own little realm. Some did.... Not all. The nightmares are the ones that show up the most. I was frightened.
It wasnt just that i dreamed of my mothers death and it upheld its image, no it wasnt because i dreamt that my best friends ex would break up with her then in the end the ex would fall asleep at the wheel and it a tree and die of a tragic death.
It was that the Dreams quickly become reality within 2 days. Everytime. Thats always the pin point of The Happening. Quickly associating itself into my every day average life.
The feeling overtakes me, spreading through out my body. This dream I just had wasn't a dud or a crazy tidbit of my imagination. It WAS going to happen, soon - In 2 days. |

I started to hypervinalate at that thought. In two days. Was that even enough to get prepared for what was going to happen?
I sighed and sat up straight, blinking my eyes. No point in thinking about it right now. I needed water. It felt like I haven't drank anything in days.
I got out of bed, stretching as I sat up. I walked over to my door and grabbed the handle, turning it.
No budge. |

Did my father lock me in my room again? Was he wasted again? I thought..... I thought I had gotten him to stop. After his outrages and all the times hes beaten us. Us, meaning my little brother - Nate - and I.
Nate was the happiness in my life - seeing his smile brightens my own day. He is the only one I can fully trust. Well, accept Sam. I have known Sam, my neighbor, since first grade. He took my right under his wing even though he was a popular figure.
I walk to my window and unlock it, sliding it up so i could feel the fresh breeze tickle my nose. He was in his room, but he didn't see me yet. I pick up a rock from a plant that rests by my closet door, and toss it gently at Sams window.
I giggle as I watch Sams reaction - him spasming, practically jumping out of his chair. Shaking his head, he walks over to his window and opens it.
"Hey, Bailee. What's up?" He asks.
"My dad locked me in again.... can i come over so I can walk through my front door?" We have town houses, so I am literally about 2 feet from his house.
"Sure, be careful though." He warns.
I reach my hand out and he grabs it - carefully tugging my body towards his window. Now my feet rest on the ledge of my window, and my waist up is practically falling into his bedroom. |
