It's not in production yet, but we know it will eventually, Freddy Krueger will never die truly.
But, this thread is more of a question: With the remake being recieved poorly I wonder if they will bring back a official sequel to the classic movies with Robert Englund in the lead role. He said he's ready for round two with Jason so why wouldn't he possibly return to A Nightmare on Elm Street as a character he made immortal: Freddy Krueger? but as far as I'm aware they are pushing for a sequel to the remake instead.
TL;DR: Would you rather have a sequel to the original film series, or a sequel to the remake? |

I personally think that there should be a sequel to the remake and a sequel to Freddy VS Jason, because it left so many answers open at the end.

Check out the comic book series: Freddy vs. Jason vs. Ash and it's sequel: The Nightmare Warriors the unofficial sequels to Freddy vs. Jason, they do explain some of the answers left open by the original movie, unfortunately though, it states that Jason won the battle in the movie. It's fairly decent, and well recommended. |

| Though Nightmare 7 did great justic to the ANOES series, I wish we could have had a proper ending to the ANOES series that lived up to the amazingness of the Orginial, DW and NN. |

Hi mate. Great to hear from you, as always your opinions are always welcomed.
I agree entirely, I saw New Nightmare recently, and it was on par with the original unlike the sequels, it really did capture the element of fear that the original possessed, but with that being said I don't think it acted, at all as an ending to the original Freddy Krueger's story. Maybe that's just me.

Unless, I'm not mistaken the remake was released in 2010.
This thread was a question, would you like to see a sequel to the remake, or the original movie. The new entry in the Texas Chainsaw Massacre series will be released on January 4, 2013, and is serving as a sequel to the original rather than the remakes, so it had me thinking if they would do the same with this planned sequel. |
