@Ro

That problem is not based off of actual difficulty; rather, it is simply just tediousness.

In layman's terms, your argument IS INVALID

since you can't solve it

x= sech y = 2/(e^y + e^-y) = 2e^y / (e^2y + 1) ---> e^2y - (1/x)e^y + 1 = 0 , use the quadratic formula ---> e^y = [1+ sqrt(1-x^2)]/x ---> y = arc sech x = ln{[1+ sqrt(1-x^2)]/x}

@hiim

Ok, I have rested enough.

I have found this answer to be 100% true and answerful

First off, x= sech y = 2/(e^y + e^-y) = 2e^y / (e^2y + 1) ---> e^2y - (1/x)e^y + 1 = 0

Which means that you must obviously need to use the quadratic formula for the remaining:

e^y = [1+ sqrt(1-x^2)]/x ---> y

Which in turn

arc sech x equaling,

ln{[1+ sqrt(1-x^2)]/x}

I am glad to have been able to help you solve that problem, as you are a simpleton who could never wrap his tiny mind around that equation and find the answer, unlike myself, the Math Guy.

Thanks will be accepted, but not required ;D
