They'll also probably start to forget Nixon's strong points, and Kennedy's weak ones...
Basically, history will eventually come to be seen in black and white, with no grey areas.

I know. People already blame Germany for the Lusitania. When really they were trying to free their country from starvation via blockade.

@Old
Does that have anything to do with what they did in WW1?

You know what Japan did? Killed hundreds of thousands in China. Yet we have 100% forgiven and forgotten that.

America killed about 100,000 people in the atom bombings. Japan killed nearly a million Chinese people, normally violating them and murdering parents in front of children.

*your country is being starved in a blockade, including your family and friends
*you see a large ship in the area of the blockade
What do you do? It's hard to blame the men on board U-20, because they did what they could to try and break the blockade and bring in food and supplies.

If you study a little harder, you'll notice it actually wasn't a passenger ship (solely). The Lusitania was in fact carrying ammunition to be given to the Allied Powers. What people often overlook is that in both World Wars America was helping the Allies long before officially entering the war.

I'm not condoning their actions, I'm pointing out that they didn't start it.

Another thing about the Lusitania was that is was publicly announced that it was to be converted to a auxiliary frigate on its return to Britain. Both Lusitania and her sister ship were designed to be converted in seconds.

Germany wasn't the aggressor. No one was really the aggressor, really. Austria and Serbia had their little trouble and everyone else got involved.

We don't choose who is born in our country. Do you honestly think Germany is any different?
