| It's about this girl. She protects her sister from getting drafted in a tribute. And people go nuts over it. also, the plot is the love triangle - and the tribute crap is a background. |

| The Love Triangle plot is hardly relevant to the story until the 3rd book. The whole series is a big thing on government and rebellion and sorts. Go read it. |

| Umm, you probably only read the summary/blurb of the book or a friend vaguely told you about it... Once you read the book, I'm sure you'll change your mind about the Hunger Games. It's a really good book, so there's no reason to hate. |

I didn't even read the book, only saw the movie, and it is a lot deeper than what you just posted.
Plus, it's an original concept, you don't see that nowadays. |

| i didn't like The Hunger Games because Katniss is just really stale to me. all she is is bitter all the time. i nearly feel asleep reading it. while describing things are good, there is a point in which there is just too much description. and although i haven't read the last two, what i have heard has made it seem like Gale completely changed. ofc you all can like it, i don't mind, but i can't be convinced it's a good book series. |

People have told me how they liked the first book, but hated the others because they changed so much between books.
The series ended badly with an emo angst love triangle and a girl getting over her fear of having children.
It was completely pointless. |

I can see your point of view on the Games, and I understand where you're coming from, but you should give the books a try. Although the movie was enjoyable, it lacked depth and story. For example: that little girl named Rue had a very important--and emotional--part in the book, wheras she only had about five minuites of screen-time in the movie.
Of all the things that I love about the Hunger Games, the love triangle drives me crazy. It's overused and unoriginal...Twilight just made it famous.
Harry Potter--Hermione, Harry and Ron (More odvious in the last book) Warriors--Squirrelflight, Brambleclaw and Ashfur Twilight--Bella, Edward and that werewolf that keeps taking his shirt off (I hate Twilight. =.=) Avatar: The Last Airbender (anime): Katara, Aang and Zuko A million more examples I'm too lazy to think of |

| @Hilarious, they wouldn't give it an R rating, because then most readers (like early teens) parents wouldn't let them see it. Besides, it's not that terrible. The killing scenes were short and almost bloodless. Probably the bloodiest scene was the fight on the cornucopia. |

@Zombie Don't you think you're being rude to him? It's his opinion.
I agree with alot of people, the book series went downhill after the first.
If Mrs. Bates is there, then who's that woman buried in Greenlong Cemetary? - Psycho (1960) |

| @dralion, THOSE parents just want to expose there kids to something they shouldnt see, it was even on the news on how it should probbally be rated R. Not ALL parents care about there children. Im just sayin'. |

| Have you READ the books? It's so much more than what you said. It's highly political, with lots of action. What you described was just the first out of three books. |
