I saw it at the movie theatre yesterday with my friends. I thought it was amazing, though they missed a few simple details.
(I.e: In the beginning of the book Madge is supposed to give katniss the Mockingjay pin, but in the movie no one even talks about Madge, shes not in the movie. Also, in the end of the movie they didnt amputate Peetas leg off like they were supposed to XD!)
They did great with the graphics and affects in the movie, i was surprised! I thought the movie was going to be a dud and far off from the book - but they were good with sticking to the book.
As I presumed, I thought the saddest death was Rues. Lolz XD. I thought it was more sad in the book then in the movie. Because in the book, you get more of a conection and details as for in the movie they have a certain time-zone they have to fit everything in.
So what did you think about the movie? |

I honestly thought is was wonderful. Even though I had to see it at a cheaper movie theater but I'm not even sad about that due to no whiny, insane fangirls.
But the details you talked about I think couldve been easily fitted in if they could.
The movie went by pretty fast for 2 hours, so I didnt really get bored or anything.
The only thing that I jumped at was the first dog, but I'd say that is to me the only real 'scary' part of the movie. |

Agreed! Nice points.
The dog-mutant things were made greatly - good affects. But I wish they added in the smallest detail right then about how the dog-mutants eyes were actually the tributes'. Then katniss' struggle with the mutant that had Rues eyes. |

| No its not about an eating contest XD! Its about the future after a war was settled, and since "Freedom is not free" each year The Capital goes to 12 districts and takes 2 tributes who will fight to death in the Hunger Games Arena. 1 will win. May the odds ever be in there favour XD! |

| I really do to. They also forgot to add Haymitch head diving off of the stage at the reaping. He wasn't even there at the reaping. |

Great book. Movie was 4/5 in my opinion, it changed some things I liked about the book, and I almost never give a 5/5. My only 5/5s: Aliens The dark night Cloverfield Avatar |
