Contemplate.

A short silent word in these days, yet a primitive force that propels our imagination into astronomical whereabouts. Over my 4 years being in the movie business, this is the one thing that even people like SethiXzon, Hacker225, Dayren and bobbysayhi haven't been able to accomplish: Contemplation

Where is the cinematic effects that amplify the volume, the deep pause in movies where true story lies, and above all the decisive message that resonates to the audience? If you watch a Hollywood movie, most of the time the message is there. Isn't that where we are inspired from? ROBLOXiwood is a copy of Hollywood, yet we lack the thinking that they have accomplished.

I don't mean to be as they say State The Obvious. What I mean is that we could do a whole lot better. Why must we act civilized? What truly separates us from animals? Is there a reason why I am the lucky one? All of these themes aren't new or mind-boggling themes, they are simple.

So, I will say that if you want to create an original movie or even knock-offs like 99% of people do, please, keep the one thing that will make me absolutely jaunted. Make me think.

How you do it, is all up to you. Thank You for Reading.

I suppose the reason for this is that in ROBLOX videos there is no real seriousness, but why should there be in the first place? You do, however, make a valid point.

The differences is that I don't get get payed for my videos like people in Hollywood do. Plus, they work on that video for years. I make mine in a week.

Due to this I only make videos for fun.

Working months and months on a video would make a good video, but would take the fun out of video making for me.

I am hanging onto ROBLOX with a thread right now for video making only. It would be very easy to cut that string.

Not to mention we are all kids.

No matter how mature you think you are.

ROBLOX's core base of users are probably 8-12. If you sit those kids down infront of a action movie like "Transformers" or a dramatic movie like "The Descendants", odds are, they're gonna choose the movie with explosions and action. You can't really tell a decent narrative on ROBLOX, it's too hard.
And please, don't call this the movie business. To be honest, we're in the "teenagers with a computer recorder" business.

Some Advice Too:

If you want to make films, pick a better ultimaitum than ROBLOX. There's a lot better options than here, and the community is pretty harsh.

You can't really be serious when your actors are made of blocks.

I don't completely agree with what you're saying, however, I do agree with the point that RoMovies can commonly lack the cinema we find elsewhere.

It's hard sometimes to fill movies with sound and powerful moments that, again, you'd find elsewhere. Being a filmmaker for the past several years, I try my best. Others do as well. The problem we commonly face is a sheer lack of material.

What I mean by that is, to put in a blunt example, length. Most movies on Roblox are summed up to maybe ten minutes if you're lucky. It's not a stupid move to go on, but it does create problems when trying to show a MOVIE, not a CLIP. If you only have three minutes of film, you only have three minutes of sound, acting, or editing. You don't have a whole lot of time to deliver a kick. Then again, if someone made a two hour movie, no one would watch it (Why? Kids have short attn. spans- but that's another story).

And another reason we lack the pizazz is due the one simple fact: We're plastic (in most cases). That alone can constantly remind an audience that it's still a movie, and that it's not happening right in front of your face.

--

On your main theme, I somewhat agree. I believe that one of the only types of cinema in general that can spawn thought are the ones that aren't made of fiction. Naturally, people are more likely going to believe something if it's true.

Walking that line, most RoMovies aren't true. They're fiction, and most of the time nonsensical. I've made around ten (good) movies and only one of them has been a documentary, which is without saying the only true one.

If a filmmaker needed to spark thought in any mind, then they would likely go for a movie that has a stronger message, theme, or topic, thus aiming towards the documentary.

I'm not saying that fictional movies can't pack a punch though, they very very well can.

--

I hate to brag, but I personally believe my most recent one can be thought provoking. "Taking Hostages" from my channel Knexerful.
