Just curious, what are your guys's opinions on scientism? It has a flaw in it's basic teaching, which is there is no empirical evidence for the statement "That without empirical evidence is not worth believing." Which as a result, makes me think that it is a horrible philosophy to follow. However, upon editing it a bit to make it "That which is not an abstract idea with no empirical evidence is not worth believing." Such as the idea of emotions, which are abstract ideas, need no evidence along with that idea.

There are some things that would have to be accepted on faith alone, either because it's something for which evidence is impossible, or because we don't have technology to prove the existance of.

Like what? Accepting things on faith is completely illogical in most cases.

It's impossible to use logic to prove the validity of logic to somebody who's forsaken logic, so I'm not even going to try.

Scientism is self refuting, but it does support the fact that it's self refuting.
