| It would make more sense if you used water in sinks since toilets can spew water wherever they dam please. |

| It has something to do with gravity I believe. It goes straight down on the equator, I have taken a shower at Changi Airport. So I know. |

Actually they don't spin different ways, that's an urban myth. They spin any way you want them to, to the toilet's own design. It's the same thing with plugholes, too.
I have actually never seen water in a toilet spin anyway... |
