A synonym of nil is the word nothing.

because they are telling the script to function something, then stop so if i function a car, the script has gotta end eventually then i'd just say 'nil' to stop the script (not fully, just stop that bit functioning) |

| "Nil" means nothing. Literally. Say that the string "Test" had a value of "Testing". if you put the code "Test = nil", Test would then mean this: " ". It doesn't even mean zero. |

nil = 0
so yes, it means nothing. Just a variable for 0. |

nil/null/nul all have no meaning, that are a meaningless place value. they are not zero, but they don't have any meaning.
