**This thread is for informational use only, not intended for "this is what I believe"**
I'm going to start off by saying I have never been through public schooling; and all schooling I have gone through has taught some form of special creation.
What are you guys taught about evolution? What theory, or theories, do they use to explain the larger theory of evolution?
Please excuse me for sounding stupid, but this is pretty new to me. |

I don't think I get taught evolution in middle school in my state... Teacher said the government wouldn't let her because of "religious reasons"
But we did learn about the big bang. |

For the beliefs, most of the United States are Christian or Catholic.

@Speedy
We have a pretty cool teacher and it's a Sophomore class.
But we're taking it as honors. |

@private
so you don't have actual honors classes for each grade?
ie
English Grade 9 / Honors English Grade 9
then
English Grade 10 / Honors English Grade 10

We studied Darwin's Theory of Evolution along with various other theories that were related to and based off of Darwin's work in my freshmen Biology class. It wasn't an honors class because we don't have honors Biology for ninth graders. |

No
Physics is 12th grade
Chemistry is 11th
Biology is 10th
Physical science is 9th
We only need 3 credits for science during our full high school time |
