| I am kinda getting sick of these videos of that balled conservative, and personally I don't think the government makes a country liveable or not. I have been to America and could easily live there, even though I don't agree with their government policy. |

No healthcare, the death sentence and the fact you think that you're not democratic. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1. We have free health care, until Obama came along, look at non profit hospitals which you can find ANYWHERE
2. The death sentence is a state decision. Some legalize it, some don't. It not a federal level issue
3. If you think we are not democratic, you have been watching too much anti-american propaganda. |

| I mean the fact that you think you are a republic means you're not a democracy, and the fact that NZ has a queen makes us non democratic. |

Did you not watch the video or not?
The word DEMOCRACY is the rule of a majority, or dictatorship of a majority.
REPUBLIC is the rule of law. This is where a constitution is the real authority in the land. People elect representatives to meet in one build to discuss and make laws. Once they make the law, the executive signs it into law which puts in in force.
If not rejected by the Executive or legislative branches, then the Supreme Court can review the law to see if it is constitutional or not. Meaning it doesn't interfere with protecting the rights of the people. |

Thats because NZ is a republic, just with a Queen that does nothing as head of state.
Because NZ is a constitutional monarchy, it is basically the rule of law. And the Queen has basically no power to do anything. So the power is in the law.

No. Greece only allowed the rich and only men to rule the country. That's not democracy. Democracy allows every citizen to contribute to ruling their country and contribute in major voting decisions.
