Dissimulo™ will be a next-generation sotry-based horror game. It will feature Amnesia-Like gameplay, and if you don't know what Amnesia is, google: Amnesia: The Dark Descent.

It will be one of the most scariest games in ROBLOX, combining intuitive, gripping, and creepy gameplay, with an engaging storyline. Dissimulo™ will have you unlocking mysteries, and uncovering a mastermind plot, which would leave the world in utter chaos. It would have one of the best storylines in ROBLOX game history, and would (hopefully) freak you out with it's cutscenes.

If this goes well, it might be the first of a series.

Any Ideas?

Just based on games i've played, scary games are hard to create. you might try adding lots of dark features, like a black to transparent radial gradient gui covering the screen.

I'll check it out but a roblox scary game?Mh...People will more likely not feel it.You need pro scripting to do this.

You know...Actually that was probably the best horror game on ROBLOX,but make the ghost look scarier.I really felt that I was playing amnesia.Keep up the good work.

Hmm... I'll work extra hard on the monsters, since right now they look crap lol.

Thanks, I'm making the sanity, and inventories.

I'm thinking, for sanity, the player's screen will become blurred - but I don't know how... should it be like, a UI will become black and white? Or maybe, the player would just move slowly and camera will be tilted? I don't exactly know how the camera should be tilted really...

Make a very transparent purple spiral GUI that only appears when sanity is questioned. It could spin and stuff.

"It could spin and stuff." Wha- I can't do that. GUIs can't have moving objects, unless extensive rendering techniques, which are memory extensive and very un-efficient.

Hope you take into consideration that the only people that may find your game will be 7-12 : / not likely to be fond of these games,or not for very long.
It might just be banned like many other horror games before.
Im not trying to talk you out of it,just though i'd give you the heads up.

Yes. Make sure the story is fictonal. If it contains 'events' from within 10 years, you're going to get into trouble. I love the GUI work so far. Although, interaction doesn't seem to work :/

The game is really great and awesome.There`s only one probloem with it and the problem is that it`s too hard.When I played it I only got to the part with the sign that says "WARNING:DANGER IS LURKING IN THE SEWER SOMEWHERE"and thats it.Plz make the game easier,either that or just tell me what to do.Also,great job with the graphics it`s really great it rly felt like I was in the game.Kepp up with the awesome work and sorry that I didn`t have any tips or advice for you to help make the game better.

Well, the GUI is still being worked. Graphics, more detail will be added into the places, and yeah, the inventory is still in the works, so.. don't expect much right now.
That part in the sewer, is still under construction - thus, the under construction sign.

Anything you guys would want to make it more scarier?

For the story, I'll try and make sure it's as realistic and as original as possible - by realistic, I meant it will link up to real world events, such as events in WW2, Cold War, etc.

I'll also add in my own horror elements, which I think is helplessness. Players will NOT get weapons - just run. That might give the feeling that, the players will be REALLY afraid to encounter an enemy, rather than knowing that they can get rid of the monster.

Good idea making the game with no weapons so that we ill have to run that will definintly make the game seem more realistic.:)

Problem 2: Amnesia is overly-used and the only game that uses it correctly was Koomike's F.E.A.R. series.

Problem 3: Scary games are often too junked up with blood and guts and all this crap that looks unreal.

Build the game off suspense, not the number of dead bodies.

Okay, so if your going to make a legit horror game like this, please no cheap decal pop outs...
Do actual startling things, such as people falling out of the roof, somebody watching you through a door then when you walk close they dissapear, good stuff like that. Add some story mixed in, and it will be amazing!
Btw, im working on a horror game too, just for a bit of fun, with characters and stuff. If you want my starter model I created just PM me. :D

2. I'll make it as close to Amnesia as possible - ROBLOX style.

3. I'm building the game with suspense - not dead bodies, in fact, there would be so little dead bodies at all in the game - alive bodies maybe. And yeah, I'm building the game off suspense and scary pop-ups, such as a blown door, person falling off the roof, strange lights, falling debris, etc.

So far, I like the idea of two test subjects battling it out in a sewer. You should barely EVER see the Other. I've never played Amnesia, but I know from the game your only way to beat enemies is to hide from them, but a few fights here and there would be nice. By few, I mean FEW, and they sort of act out like puzzles where you need to think quickly.

Like I said, don't make them involving the "Other", maybe the scientists who made you dumped some failed subjects in the sewer...

I don't want to spoil it out, but...

'The Other' is a nickname given to a cyborg/mutant humanoid originally named 'Subject 6'. With the arrival of Subject 7 (you) Subject 6 has fled to utter chaos and anger (don't wanna spoil) - then, Subject 6 breaks out, and somehow managed to be able to freely roam the laboratories. Whilst you, Subject 7, managed to break out and your only mission is to get out of there alive (again, don't wanna say why) - whilst Subject 6 is after you. All I'm gonna say is, Subject 6 has friends.
