Sometimes you will find that your character simply does not have the resources on hand to do what you really want to do. With some Macgyvering however you can easily achieve a significant result. These can be fun and funny in the threads.
For example: Individual A. has been playing a demolitions engineer the whole thread and has caused some serious damage with well placed detonation charges. However he is out of them but his opposition (individuals B, C, and D) does not know his. So A sets up an alarm clock inside of a metal tupe so that it looks like a bomb to distract B, C, and D when they come after him so he can escape while they try to disarm it, believing that it is actually a bomb.
For good ways to improvise, just look at history and sometimes Mythbusters. Also use your imagination, the more original the better in some cases. You can do more than last ditch efforts by improvising. For example, if A had one more remote detonation charge he could hide it where the alarm clock 'bomb' is in the blast radius, so that he can detonate it while B, C, and D try to disarm the alarm clock. |

Indeed. It is also a great source for such improvisations.
These methods are also easy ways to avoid godmodding by accessing resources beyond your character's means. |

| True. Most people run out of ammo and decide they find a minigun on the ground randomly. |

| Good way to just avoid that situation: Have a sidearm. It can be hard to improvise for ammo when actively in a fire fight. |
