Half the kids don't know who the brothers Grimm or Hans Christian Anderson were! So, just to be safe, I will disclose the following information (even though it has been disclosed many times before).
Jakob and Wilhelm Grimm (the brothers Grimm) lived in Germany in the 19th century and were famous worldwide for their book, titled "Fairie Tales". They also wrote several law books and a famous dictionary.
Hans Christian Anderson lived in around the same time period and wrote many of the common fairy tales we hear today, such as Thumbelina.
And then this extra stuff people shold know:
Leif Erickson was a viking explorer that technically discovered North America and formed a small village there, Vinland, which did not last for long.
Christopher Columbus is HYPE! MOSTLY HYPE! He was extremely cruel to the native americans and did not discover America originally.
Plymoth Rock is NOT, in fact, where the pilgrims landed.
Colors don't exist.
Salmon is pronounced "samon".
Everyone's ancestors actually came from modern day Africa.
Don't ride a tiger, turn your back on a tiger, look a tiger in the eyes, be wounded in front of a tiger, or run away from a tiger (A wild tiger, I mean. Not from the zoo.)
At school they teach you there are three states of matter, but there are actually four: solids, liquids, gases, and plasma. |

"Colors don't exist."
Yes, they do.
"Salmon is pronounced "samon"."
NO, YA THINK?
"At school they teach you there are three states of matter"
Wrong. In middle school, they finally tell you about the fourth.

| Colors are a trick of light, some people I know say "salmon" and I had no way of knowing they teach that in middle school. |

I'd say the current generation is doing much better than previous generations. We have the Internet, which is pretty much a gigantic library full of information and your average teenager knows more than your average adult did 100 years ago.
It's just up to them whether they want to use the Internet for unlimited knowledge of any subject in the world or to watch funny cat videos and insult others. |

"Colors are a trick of light"
Doesn't mean they don't exist.

@ferry
Actually, that's incorrect. They didn't write the fairy tales, they collected them.

| Yes, I heard they got the fairy tale from an old woman who lived in the middle of the woods. |

| Another thing I'm disappointed about: JUST BECAUSE I SPEAK IN A GERMAN ACCENT FOR HALF A DAY DOES NOT MEAN I WAS BORN IN GERMANY. Some kids still haven't figured that out. |

"formed a small village there, Vinland,"
Vinland is the name of the region, not the settlement.
"Jakob and Wilhelm Grimm (the brothers Grimm) lived in Germany in the 19th century and were famous worldwide for their book, titled "Fairie Tales". They also wrote several law books and a famous dictionary.
Hans Christian Anderson lived in around the same time period and wrote many of the common fairy tales we hear today, such as Thumbelina."
Ok, so? We don't need an even more Euro-centred education. |

And Vinland was also a settlement. |

| Then check over your posts and fix any mistakes you see. It'll make you seem less like a ranting 8 year old. |

@Rocking
You seem more like the ranting 8 year old here.
Savagely criticizing OP for making one spelling mistake in a very well written, thought out post that you probably felt insulted by because it exposed your idiocy |
