In 50 BC, the Julius Caeser invaded present day France, then called Gaul. It was of great importance to the Romans and to Caeser himself. He commanded up to Fifteen Legions at one point, as well as the respect of several Gallic tribes. It is in this setting that you will live as a commander. That you will fight for the Glory of Rome, or for the freedom of the Gauls. - Commander Sheet: Name: Political Faction: (The Repuublic of Rome, or the Gauls) Tribe or Legion name: (No repeats, please.) Total Number of Units: (No more then Ten Thousand) Swordsmen: Axemen: Cavalry: Spies: Ballistae: (Not avaible to Gauls, until their first battle with Romans.) Officers: Archers: Macemen: Spearmen: Catapaults - Rules: I will roll dice to decide the out come of battles. You can PM me your battle plans, or post them here. BE WARNED, IF YOU POST THEM HERE, YOUR OPPONENT CAN RESPOND ACCORDINGLY WITH HIS OR HER OWN FORCES. - Combat: I will roll a twenty sided die for each side to determine the amount of damage taken. The difference in the two die will indicate the loss of one hundred men for the lesser roll. The men will be determined by rolling a twenty sided die, where 1 and 2 represent Soldiers, 3 and 4 will represent axemen, 5, 6, and 7 will represent spies, 8 will represent Ballistae, 9 will represent Archers, 10 and 11 will represent macemen, 12 and 13 spearmen, 14 and 15 will represent Catapaults, and 16 and 17 [or 20, if your any form of Gual] will represent Officers. 18 and 19 [or 20, if Roman] will represent Cavalry. I will roll the Unit die each time for each difference. Each round, you will be allowed to retreat or continue to fight if you're the attacking party. If you're the defender you can fortify your postion [Fortification will allow you a plus one in your roll on the next turn] or surrender.
Surprise Factor- If you chose to PM me your battle plans, I will roll an extra six-sided die for each palyer, Each number represents 1/6 times that # of your spy units. The greater number wins the Surprise Factor, and you will get that number of units extra in the battle. - Conclusion of a Battle: You can lose by either surrendering, or having all of your units destroyed. If you surrender, your army's forces are added to your opponent's and you will either be under his command, or you will be left out for this game, that is your choice. - Alliances and Treaties: You can hold an Alliance with another player, allowing you to add your forces temporarily to his or hers for the battle, if you chose. You and your ally may then determine a strategy together, or determine a strategy away from each other. - Speed: One factor that affects your battles when in an alliance is the speed with which units can travel. You may want to plan accordingly. Please note: Each number represents the max speed of the units. They can go slower than that if you wish. Swordsmen, Axemen, Macemen, Spearmen, and Archers- 2 turns Cavalry and Spies- 1 turn. Ballistae, Catapaults, and Officers- 3 turns. - Non-combat rules: Movement and Map: Each player will start off Fifty Miles from each other and the CENTER OF THE MAP, meaning you have to move in their direction. The speed of the units represents how long it takes for them to cross ten miles.
The map's total size is 500 miles across, so you can move any direction until you reach the edge of the map.
There are no cities and towns, only your Legion's camps. You are playing on a grassy plain.
Reinforcements: Every turn, you get to choose 100 units to reinforce your Legion or Tribe, you may divide them up any way you see fit. You do not recieve reinforcements if you're in Combat, unless you recieve them from an Allied Player. The reinforcements are always 40 miles away from your Legion when you first get them, so make sure you keep that in mind.

I send one of our Diplomats, Valgor, to Soar's Army with a paper to sign a peace treaty with them. On the bottom of the paper was my signature, King Vendaris Vael'gosh(Val-gosh). Guarding the Diplomats, was 5 Swordsmen, 5 Axemen, and 5 Archers.

| (Remember to keep in mind your speed. Your Cavalry are faster than everything else, and since you didn't post that they were all moving at the same speed, I'm assuming everything is moving at MAX speed) |
