This collab is based off of exactly what the title says: A Science Fiction version of Dungeons & Dragons.
For those of you familiar with D&D, you obviously know that there are races, classes, a DM, etc.
For those unfamiliar with D&D, I will explain some simple concepts about D&D, so that you can be productive in this collab thread.
First of all, D&D has a Dungeon Master (DM). This person basically narrates the game. He's the story teller, the referee (to decide how a rule works), and even the monster puppet master. The DM is often a good storyteller, keeping the players excited and eager to continue the role play.
Next, D&D has Races and Classes. Races are what the players' characters can be from a culture/bio point of view. The player's race will determine whether their character can speak a certain language, looks a certain way, acts a certain way, or even has specific skills. A Class is like a profession, or job. These may include (in Medieval D&D), a warrior, monk, rogue, ranger, paladin, or wizard. Classes determine the player's characters starting skills, armor, weapon choices, or anything having to do with the customization of their equipment.
Finally, many D&D DM's don't explain the plot directly. The plot is usually told through Non-Player Characters (NPCs) in the role play. The players must put together their major quests like puzzle pieces to create the plot.
Now that we've gone through that, here is a list of things that you can help suggest:
1) Races 2) Classes 3) Planets (If necessary) 4) Towns/Cities 5) Basic Plot Outline (I have a some-sort of, kinda, maybe idea of this) 6) Equipment - Including weapons, armor, gadgets, etc. 7) Skills - Such as Tech, Medical, etc. 8) Attributes/Stats - In Medieval D&D, these included Strength, Wisdom, Intelligence, etc. 9) Other systems or things to add
If you want to suggest something else, feel free to suggest them. |

Right now, the plot involves a twist of two separate realities.
I got this idea from a series called "Awake".
Basically, everyone (as a group) lives in two, or even more, versions of the world.
Here's a quick example:
A man gets into a car accident with his wife and son. During that accident, both his wife and son died, but he himself survived. When he wakes up the next morning, he sees his wife, alive. This leads us to believe that he is living in one reality where his wife survived the accident. Now, he sleeps during the night, of course. But when he wakes up, he sees his son, alive, but his wife is now dead. Now the man is living in a reality where his son survived the car accident, but his wife did not.
Everytime the man sleeps and wakes up, he alternates between those two realities. His regular daily life goes on normally, with the exception of either his wife or son being alive. |

@pokemon; I'll just correct you if you make a mistake.
Some of the Skills I have in mind...
___Medical/Health___ Self-explanatory. Those who train more in the Medical field will have bonuses to medical-related skills, such as healing or restoring. Medical weapons, such as saws or syringe-guns (TF2, anyone?) will also benefit the wielder. Anyone trained in this field will also receive bonuses to their medical gadgets and tools, and will receive specific skills to fit this field.
___Tactical/Offensive___ Characters trained in the Tactical/Offensive skill will receive additional bonuses to their weapon damage. Their skills focus on dealing the most damage to one or more enemies in the shortest amount of time. They receive attack-related skills and have extra proficiency in many weapons.

Here is a skill idea.
__Agility/Acrobatics__ Characters who have this skill are more likely to dodge attacks. They will get to destinations much quicker by foot.(This is all I could think of ._.) |

@pokemon; It's a good start. We just need to think of skills that will go under these fields.
