| A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984) is my all time favorite. I know all the lines and scenes of by heart because I've watched it so many times. |

| I'm probably going to get hate for this, but Scream. It's by far my favorite horror film although it's more of a comedy. Love the series to death. |

This one was really, really, really, really bloody, and as close to NC-17 as you get, so some people may enjoy it. It was too dark the whole time though.
Aliens vs. predator: Requiem
And, the classic series, still arguably the greatest sci-fi ever created.
Alien Aliens
Also good, but the first 2 were better:
Alien 3 Alien 4:ressurection |

Mhm, I've seen loads of horror movies, but I'm still too scared to watch The Exorcist full through. I've seen some clips on YT though, and it looks scary.
@ Ultra, Scream is actually pretty respected. It may not have be taken as seriously though after Scary Movie came out. |

Shutter Island wasn't scary, but I loves the plot. It was kinda creepy though, especially when they went into the high-security part of the hospital. The Human Centipede + The Human Centipede 2 are also good, but they're not really scary, just a bit disturbing lol.. But the scariest film I've ever seen is Chucky 2. I turned it off after 20 minutes lol, I hate films like that. :( |

The Thing (1982) and A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984)
The Thing still affects me, and Robert Englund may very well be the best actor of all time. |

@Allplaynow Same here. Seen most also. Horror movies are the best kind.
Movie fail: Aliens vs. predator 1 was intended to be a horror movie. |

A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984) prevented me from sleeping for a day after I saw it. It gave me paranoia and I still don't like the idea of sleeping. Let's not forget Tina's death or the attack in Nacy's room... Those scenes scarred me for life.
I could also say funnily enough that Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds scarred me. It made me have a fear of birds. |

| Funny story here: When I was little, at daycare we had to get our silhouettes taken of by a camera. Mine looked like Alfred Hitchcock's. |
