I know a bunch of phrases I've learned over the years. So here's my knowledge of Croatian (otherwise, Hrvatski):
Zdravo - Hello
Kako ste - How are you
šta ima - What is going on
Hrvatski - Croatian
Hrvatska - Croatia
Sretan rod - Happy birthday
Hvala sam/Bok - Thank you/Thanks
Zbogom - Goodbye
So, that's all I know of Croatian. Can someone from Croatia help me with Hrvatski so I can learn a new language? |

Why would anyone want to learn Hrvatski?

Where exactly do people speak that? Not trying to offend you, but I never heard of it. It must be an Eastern language.

It's spoken in Croatia, an Eastern European country in the Balkans, which was formally a part of Yugoslavia.

Sinii is right, and I want to learn it because I have a couple friends from there. And plus, I have friends in countries in which it would be near impossible to learn their language. Take for example; Malta.

No language is impossible to learn. Well, there aren't many resources for the Maltese language. But I'm sure that if you went there and learned by context, it would be easier to learn.

Let me rephrase that: It would be really complicated to learn languages like Maltese.

Croatian isn't a very popular language either. Maltese is less known, but that doesn't mean Croatian is popular.

Theoretically, Croatian would be harder to learn than a lot of languages, such as English, Spanish, French, Mandarin, Portuguese, German, and so on. I don't think you can sign up for Croatian language classes outside of Croatia.

There should be some English-Hrvatski dictionaries online.

You've mentioned you have Croatian friends. You should ask them about Hrvatski.
