| If immigrants from Spanish-speaking countries are too lazy to learn the language of the country they immigrated to, that's they're problem. |

@Athena I agree. If they are going to come here illegally then the least they could do is learn the language. |

We don't expect their signs to be in English, and they're not in English. |

"that's they're problem"
If a person doesn't know the language of his or her own country, that's another problem |

@Athena So you expect the Spanish to learn the hardest language in the world? Yet when we go overseas, we need a translator for everything. And I know many people who have the expectation for other countries to "Be considerate and have things in English" |

>you expect the Spanish to learn the hardest language in the world If they're coming to America to be a citizen, yes. Also, it's not the hardest language. Many English words come from Spanish. It would be easier to learn English from Spanish than it would be to learn, say, Chinese. |

"Be considerate and have things in English"
English is the de facto lingua franca of the world. It would make sense to assume that they would have English signs too. |

Oh Athenablue7, you so silly. But seriously, if the immigrants aren't smart enough to learn our language, why the hell do the give a crap to move to America?

But that's being a complete hypocrite. Shouldn't we do a small favor and do the same? Natural English speakers seem to think they're entitled to everything. |

"It's still the hardest language in the world."
Not if your language is European. English is going to have stolen some words from your language. Chinese hasn't. Therefore, you will pick up English faster than you would Chinese. |

@Zil No. If they come over here and want citizenship then they should speak the language fluently. |

''English'' and ''hardest language in the world'' in the same sentence. OMGLOL Maybe with ''not'' in between.
