Chapter 1: Might of the Scourge
In the world of Azeroth, it is calm but only for a moment. However the undead scourge do not rest, not as their king the Lich King continues to try to threaten the world.
A recent scourge attack was reported to be in a alliance base camp in Eastern Plaguelands. The Horde deals with the Scourge in Western Plaguelands. The sound of slashing and blood splatter as the Alliance camp was overrun. The commander of the camp, Highlord Daniel calls to rally up the Alliance at the camp together.
"Mighty soldiers of the Alliance, we must not fall down and bow before the Scourge! We must not serve under the Lich King!" The commander cried out, as he jumped up and slammed his war axe into the undead's chest. He gripped his axe tight and then spun around swinging his axe in every direction. 5 undead around him broke apart and fell down, bones scattered.
He hears a war cry and horns and looked back to where it came from. It was his brother and the Alliance reinforcements that came. He continued to swing his axe at the undead and then joined his brother.
"Gregory!" he yelled out. "Daniel!" he replied as they joined together fighting the undead. The battle continues and then a necromancer of the Cult was controlling the undead. Gregory told his brother and pointed to the hill where the necromancer was at.
"If we kill him, we will drive the scourge away from this camp!" Daniel said. The two brothers mounted up and they chased the necromancer. The necromancer kept on running away from the two warriors, but the warriors were too fast.
"My death will mean little, you cannot stop the might of the scourge!" The necromancer yelled out. He summoned an army of scourge that surrounded us.
"Brother what do we do?" Daniel questioned. "We fight!"
Daniel used his special move, he spun around while swinging his axe that made him hit anyone that was within his range. He used this on the undead as his brother just defeated them by slamming his mighty mace.
The necromancer was on the ground, and Gregory slammed his hammer that instantly killed the necromancer as his head was squished and bursted out in a bloody mess.
The undead instantly perished, ripped apart and bones were scattered on the ground. The camp was severely damaged, but they rested as the undead were dealt with. |

BTW, the best check for the approval of a story is the view counter. I've been here for a long time, and I can tell you that if we were stupid this would have been trolled instead of ignored or quietly read without posting. I have written several very successful stories in my time that were well enjoyed. Dention1, learn what you're talking about before you say something. |

... Are you smoking something illegal? I've written several successful stories that quite a few people read and enjoyed. Rarely do I ever finish them but they're usually well liked. Look up "Wasteland of Newhall" some time. Threads don't just succeed on a whim either, a lot of careful thought and planning goes into them and the ones that have a desirable setup in terms of plot and organization tend to be successful. Look at my post count and my join date. See that? That means I've been around for a good long while, and I'd say I know more of how the forum I've been posting on for years than one you've been on for less than a hundred posts and, due to your ignorance, probably less than a week (How you called a thread a 'forum' gave that away). I was here in what we old RPers like to call the Golden Age, I've seen what we veterans call the dark age. I was her to see it start to rise again, and frankly, whim had little to do with it. Skill, experience, effort, discipline, respect, ingenuity, those are what earns a thread its merit. You'll notice that luck isn't on that list. Dention1, I recommend you stop trying to contradict me before you make yourself look like more of an idiot. |

| WoW is dying because of its players. Too many dumb Americans. There is nothing bad about the game only that its players are complainers. Most of the people do not use grammar at all and act stupid. My realm is the worst but I am planning on realm transferring. And yes, I've written a lot of successful stories aswell, usually people like my stories. |

Chapter 2
Months later after the attack of the scourge, Gregory and Daniel left the camp back to Stormwind. There they met Highlord Bolvar Fordragon, the main leader of the Alliance Military.
"Greetings Gentlemen," Bolvar greeted and then lead the brothers into the War Room to view the World Map. The map revealed many Alliance and Horde controlled territories, and contested territories. It showed where Alliance camps and bases were at. Where supplies came from, and all the detail of battle. This truly amazed the two brothers.
Then Bolvar began to discuss orders, "Men, the scourge is closing in on the Western Plaguelands. We've lost Eastern Plaguelands, our base camp was destroyed in a Scourge attack. The Scarlet Crusade still take control of Hearthglen. And the Undead Forsaken at Lordaeron. The northern lands of Eastern Kingdoms is at risk. Here is your task, go to our camp in Western Plaguelands, south of Andorhal. The camp is called Chillwind Camp and is west of Uther's tomb. Now go!"
(Sorry I have to go but this will be continued after school.) |

Venardis, I am guessing not many were commenting because either they do not play it, or like you said, it is dying. I have not read through the story and I shall do so momentarily.
@Dention1, I am offended. You say most RPers disrespect stories and go for RPs. I do like reading stories, I'm interested in that. I even write my own stories. And my RPs have stories in them.

| Yeah since a lot of people don't know about WoW, i'll try to teach them in this story. Only the lore part though. WoW is only dying because of its unfaithful and dumb players. SWTOR is a clone of WoW imo. |

WoW is dying because of a few things 1: WotLK and Cataclysm were both cataclysmically bad, and the gaming community showed Blizzard their wrath (It's funny because it's just like the names of the expansions lawlz) 2: The game is getting too easy and too bland, with each expansion focusing less on furthering the plot and providing an interesting game and more on improving sales before reason 4 kills them. 3: The dedicated player base is finishing everything days after it's released, leaving them with nothing to do. 4: Star Wars: The Old Republic was released.
You clearly don't know enough about MMOs to see why the term WoW clone is dumb. WoW itself is a clone of many other MMOs. It wasn't the first one ever -- it borrowed quite a few elements from Ultima Online and Everquest. It was by no means a completely unique game. Even the most innovative games (Elder Scrolls, Halo: Combat Evolved, Battlefield 1943, etc..) borrowed many elements from past games, and improved them, added new things, and gave it a shiny layer of polish that made it popular. TOR is no different. It takes the traditional combat system and adds 1 thing, while removing another: Difficulty, and an Auto Attack, respectively. This makes combat much more entertaining. The focus on groups of enemies also makes you feel a bit more heroic. Killing 6 creatures almost simultaneously is much more satisfying then the way WoW was set up (1v1, 1v2, or maybe even 1v3 (!!) battles!) The soundtrack is much more memorable, with each class having it's own theme, all easily identifiable. The addition of fully voice acted cutscenes for every single quest allows you to become emotionally involved in each quest, as opposed to you scrolling down to the objective then clicking accept. The Class Quest is probably the best feature -- it not only gives you a reason to go to new planets, but it's almost always well written and memorable, with choices you make along the way that dramatically impact the storyline. The addition of having NPCs mail you after completing their quests is a nice touch that adds some depth to the world. Finally, the crafting system is actually fun, with materials easy to find, and the trick being this: Deconstruct items, retrieve their parts, and potentially find a way to make a better version of the weapon. This is a really simple way of adding depth to the otherwise standard crafting system. So, does it borrow elements from past MMOs? Yeah, all MMOs do. Is it slightly lacking in endgame content, as well as being a bit buggy? Yeah, most MMOs are in the first few months of launch. Am I ranting? Yeah, of course I'm ra- Wait. Damn it. I get too carried away with this kind of stuff.
Anyways, I like the story though, and the choice to focus on the lore is a good choice, seeing as the Warcraft games (And the books) are WAY more interesting and deep then WoW. |

So what if WoW is getting easier. Most of the community complained of how Vanilla was so hard in the first place. That's how changes are, sometimes it'll get easier. Hey it might get harder, but with really high levels up to level 85 it would take years to level up as it took a year to only level up to 60. The only thing they REALLY need to make better is the lore, and more BG ideas and World PvP objectives.
I only PvP because it's really fun. What they need to do is have different types of BGs, no CTF or Resource type games. They need to get more ideas and have different objective type games.
They should also influence World PvP. Adding bases or 'events' in most areas that people will quest. The main conflict is within the ALLIANCE and the HORDE.
I also believe they should remove the dungeon finder. Dungeons should be done with friends and to be discovered. Dungeon finder also removes the questing of the game as people just camp in Orgrimmar or Stormwind right next to their trainer and/or Auction House and spam the dungeon finder.
Removing this will bring back the social part of this game, and more questing. With more questing, more World PvP.
MAIN IDEAS: - Remove Dungeon Finder - Add more BGs, no more CTF or resource type BGs. - Bring back how the ALLIANCE and the HORDE were enemies. In other words, influence World PvP |

Chapter 2 Continued
Bolvar stayed in the Command Room with other officers of the Alliance military. The brothers and other paladins left to the Western Plaguelands, Chillwind Camp. At the front of the keep was their horses.
"Mount up men," Gregory, the eldest brother said, "To Chillwind Camp we go." Gregory was the leader of the group, and so they rode on their steeds. They entered the Deeprun Tram, the underground tram that was the quickest way to Ironforge. But there, they only found trouble, two men were arguing, and each of them were backed up with a group.
"Oh no, what's the Deeprun Saints doing now?" Daniel questioned. The leader of the Deeprun Saints began to speak.
"It's the V Brotherhood, crossing into our territory." Xavier Deeprun said. "What are the bandits doing here?" "We're here to finish our business with the Deeprun Saints." The V Brotherhood leader Vendaris replied. Then Vendaris, took out his sword and slammed his sword down, but as he did this, a holy shield reflected the sword as it broke apart and fell on the ground. It was from Daniel.
"What are you doing?" Vendaris said. Vendaris lifted his hands up, and the V Brotherhood took out their swords and charged in toward the Deeprun Saints.
"For the Brotherhood!" They all yelled out. As few of Deeprun and the V Brotherhood fell down before them, Daniel and Gregory rose up. They concentrated all of their holy strength and slammed their foot together. With this, a large shockwave of holy light sent everyone slamming to the walls.
"STOP!" Daniel yelled out. "Can't you see how the Scourge is devouring us? They continue to march down onto our lands, destroying innocent people! The Scourge must be stopped, and all of you can be useful! With all of us, we can stop the Scourge together!"
Vendaris and Xavier and their gangs, grouped up together. They both said together, "You're right." |

Dear Readers of World of Warcraft by Vendaris,
- I will keep every chapter safely in a folder. At the end, I will use all three for one epic post. - Chapters will come out every thursday. - If you guys are feeling it, I might release an RP that's based on the LORE. Not PvP or PvE, or any stuff like that.
Now I must go back to my project. See everyone tomorrow.
Sincerely,
~Johnny Cool~ |
