| Two hours before the battle of Pearl Harbor, the USS Ward confirmed that they sank a Japanese mini-sub (the sub was found in the 1980's by divers) and reported it to the naval command. The command thought it was a false alarm and did nothing about it. |

Named after the first naval officer to be killed in the American civil war
Built in a record 17 1/2 days just before world war one.
First ship to engage the Japanese in the American war on Japan. |

Was he Army, Navy or Air Corp?
If he was Army, he was probably stationed on board a patrol boat inland.
If we was Navy, he would have been on the larger ships just outside the docks.
If he was Air Corp, he was probably on the land at an air base. |

@N00by I asked my mom what ship he was on. He is on guard duty on the USS Arizona. |
