Someone on this forum told me to type:
print(wait())
to check the player's FPS...It just returns a number like:
0.033981034959993 204.01828667751
HALP?

Basic math time...

You have a cake. Cut it into four slices. Is each slice a whole cake? NOPE, it's 0.25 of a whole cake.

wait() will return the exact amount of time delayed by. Dividing one by the number returned from calling wait() without arguments will you how many FPS the player is getting. This is because calling wait() without arguments waits one frame.

Dis b like calculating tax (GST, 13%)

item that costs $15 has a tax price of 13%, (15)(0.13)=$1.95, in total that item costs $16.95.

If you can't calculate tax, or percent off, den how you ever going to work for a company that sells merchandise?!

In a local script:

wait() is the ammount of time it takes for one frame to pass
1=1 second
Thus....
1/wait() is the local frames per second.

"If you can't calculate tax"

I can but lol I never have to because I live in a state without sales tax (except in restaurants, but that's not sales tax, and I don't really care when it comes to that) <3

It was assumption.

If you want a player's fps, then you should run that code in a local script.
If you wanted the servers fps then that code should be ran in a regular script.

He asked in the case of a player, so am I wrong :(?
