| No, we were on the #8 alliance at the event and we though our other team, 1538B would've won, but they got eliminated in the semifinals. |

I coded for a local team last year. Java. I was never really on the team, their prog just went to college and they needed me to manage that stuff.
We did quite well locally. Don't know our team number or whatever it is, and didn't help this year, cos' busy with speech team all the time. |

I'm in FRC. ;D
We're using Java.... We've got the shooting mech, and the moving thing, and we just need to get the picker up thing, and then combine them together.
I'm personally doing the website. |

4068. Founded a rookie team this year, I was previously a part of 973.
Unfortunately, we are very behind because shipping and purchasing through a district sucks and takes too long. It doesn't help we dont have alot of things in our workshop because of being rookies, either.

Forgot the entire point, Lol.
Programming in LabView. Although I personally prefer scripting languages (I dislike using the C family because of the amount of time it can take, as well as it's learning curve), this is much easier for the new kids to manage. |

I'm head of Team 759 from the UK, Systemetric. Our robot came from the garage we were working on it in back into school today, and we started wiring up everything.
Regrettably, our mentors have insisted that we use LabVIEW, since apparently the problems from last year were "because of Java". It took us 30 minutes to wrap some code into a function. I could have done it in Java in 5 lines. |

Team 1922 here :D We use LabView. We WERE going to use C++ this year, but this year's install of WindRiver was giving us so many issues we just went back to LabView.
So, anyone else agree that Rebound Rumble is one of the worst games (aside from the game which shall not be named *cough*Lunacy*cough*)? |

This is my second year on an FRC team, so I wasn't around for Lunacy, but I still know what it is. For our team, to make Lunacy worse, not only was it a terrible game, but we cursed our robot by going against our naming scheme. Instead of naming it "Tin Man *I think it would have been our fourth year that year, so I think the number would have been IV*" we named it Toto... we will never go against the naming scheme again. This year we have Tin Man VII. The Wizard of Oz references are because our team is Team Oz-Ram, named so because our first sponsor was Osram-Sylvania (I think I spelled that wrong). |

I think my team's website is better, but that's just because I made it, and it's a MediaWiki setup. |

ijelly. I've never even heard of FRC before, sounds extremely interesting, but no idea how you would even get started on participating in a team, or where to even find a team to participate in.

| Nate, try looking up FRC regionals in your area on the FRC site, then look at the participant teams. Chances are, one of them is near you. |
