I will be checking this thread frequently, until I post the final draft of the thread for the official Dungeons and Dragons RP. Please follow the guidelines below.
1) Have you played Dungeons and Dragons before? If not, go to "A". If yes, go to "B". If you have played D&D before, but haven't played it enough to memorize most of the fields, go to "A".
A) Please fill out the fields below. Name: Gender: Bio: Personality:
B) Please fill out the fields below, or all of the fields you know. Name: Gender: Bio: Personality: Preferred Race: Preferred Class: Dexterity: Strength: Intelligence: Wisdom: Constitution: Charisma: Appearance: Armor Class: Health: Alignment: Preferred Weapon: Preferred Shield (With appropriate class): Other:
Other fields will be revealed and filled out once the role play begins. The hidden fields include Feats, Spells, Weapon Damage, Skills, etc.
___________________________________________________________________________
If you do not want to fill out your character sheet right now, and want to wait for the actual role play, please copy and paste this message, starting from the word "If", and add your name to the list below. Add additional dashes if needed. The reason I need reservations, is because I need to know if you want to play or not. I will only accept 3-5 character sheets.
Reservations: - - - - - -

Name: Tukazul Jaroski Gender: Male Bio: I spent some time thinking about this for the other thread, and could not think of anything. As the story progresses, this will too. Personality: Mildly sociopathic, but loyal, and enjoys making people laugh. Preferred Race: Dwarf Preferred Class: Bard Dexterity: 15 Strength: 17 Intelligence: 13 Wisdom: 13 Constitution: 15 Charisma: 9 Appearance: Dark brown hair, green eyes, thick beard. Typically wears clothes. Armor Class: Health: Alignment: Neutral Evil Preferred Weapon: Rapier, or Falchion Preferred Shield (With appropriate class): A small buckler, although if he is actually trying to defend something by using a shield, he'll get a tower shield. Other: I decided on dwarven bard before I rolled up stats (4d6, drop lowest roll) - the Charisma score shows.
Also, what edition is being used? |

| @Walyn; I suppose 3e. I don't have any of the rule books for 4e, so it's a likely chance I'm using 3e. |

Okay, then I assume AC would be 10 (never played pen and paper), and health would be in the 3 to 9 range (assuming rolling for health and +2 CON for being a dwarf)
And I just realized I'd have 7 CHA because I am a dwarf. And I will have a penalty to my main skills.
And I am not gonna be able to cast spells.
Hold on, gonna reroll my stats. |

| Lol. I forgot how health was determined... To make the Health fair, just roll a 12-sided die. Then add your CON modifier. It has to be over 3-5, or you would die in 1 hit most of the time. :P |

Strength: 11 (+0) (2, 4, 3, 4) Dexterity: 9 (-1) (2, 1, 1, 6) Constitution: 12 + 2 (+2) (3, 2, 5, 4) Intelligence: 12 (+1) (3, 2, 5, 1) Wisdom: 13 (+1) (3, 1, 5, 5) Charisma: 13 - 2 (+0) (4, 5, 3, 4)
That is better. |

Okay, that puts me at 7 health and 9 base AC.
I already imagine my character going SQUISH. |

| What is your policy on player killing? |

@Walyn; Well, I will allow it, but only at an extreme level. E.g; Starting the adventure by killing a player isn't considered the "extreme level".
Btw, your AC is determined by the following: 10 + Armor Bonus + Shield Bonus + DEX mod + Size Mod. So we don't exactly know what your AC is until we get your race (which will determine your size), your armor, and your shield. |

| Also, do you mean 3e, or 3.5e? You can google d20 srd for 3.5 edition stuff I think, first link. That's what I am using to brainstorm what to do with my character. |

Well, I am just talking about base AC - before armor and shields and such.
Good thing I can wear light armor (which I don't have the DEX to use as effectively!) |

| @Walyn; Just for that site, you have made life a whole lot easier for me. You're an admin now. I don't care if it's unfair to give you admin because of a site. You just are. |

So, when does this start?
And can I just choose my skills, feats, and such now?
How much gold do I start with? |

| @Walyn; This will start soon, thanks to that site. I will post it on a different thread, however. And yes, you can choose your skills, feats, and such, if you know how to. I will determine how much gold characters start with later. |

You can ask me for help, I can make a pretty decent character.
I've decided on the feat and skills Feat: Negotiator (+2 to Diplomacy and Sense Motive) Skills: Ride (2 ranks, cross-class (4 points)) Knowledge (nobility) (4 ranks, class (4 points)) Diplomacy (4 ranks, class (4 points)) Bluff (4 ranks, class (4 points)) Use Magic Device (4 ranks, class (4 points)), Gather Information (4 ranks, class (4 points)) Sense Motive (4 ranks, class (4 points))
I start with 7 (4 + 1 cha modifier + 2 Negotiator bonus) to Diplomacy, and when I hit level 2, it will jump up 7 more (+2 synergy each from Sense Motive, Bluff, and Knowledge (nobility), (synergy requires 5 ranks in the skill that provides synergy, only got 4 at 1st level) +1 from putting a skill point in Diplomacy).
Pretty nice, eh? |

Actually, I am re-choosing my skills and feat. I am not gonna play an optimized diplomancer - that would be too easy.
Feat: Weapon Focus (rapier)
Ride (2 ranks, cross class, 4 points) Use Magic Device (4 ranks, class, 4 points) Perform (small drum) (4 ranks, class, 4 points) Diplomacy (3 ranks, class, 3 points) Bluff (3 ranks, class, 3 points) Swim (2 ranks, class, 2 points) Jump (2 ranks, class, 2 points) Craft (Weaponsmithing) (4 ranks, class, 4 points) Craft (Alchemy) (2 ranks, class, 2 points) |

| Also, if you want to solve the "people die too fast" problem, maybe try having people start at level 3? |

| Warlord? I think that is a 4e class. I am in a build-making mood, want me to make one for you using 3.5 edition? Just tell me what you want. |

Fighter
8 health, 13 AC without armor
Strength: 13 (+1) (4, 3, 3, 6) Dexterity: 17 (+3) (5, 6, 6, 3) Constitution: 14 (+2) (5, 3, 2, 6) Intelligence: 10 (+0) (4, 4, 1, 2) Wisdom: 14 (+2) (3, 6, 5, 5) Charisma: 13 (+1) (3, 2, 5, 5)
Feats: Two Weapon Fighting, Skill Proficiency: Diplomacy (Just made this up, makes you treat the chosen skill as a class skill), Power Attack
(Gotta love 3 feats as a first level Human fighter, right?)
Skills (12 points at level 1, 3 points at other levels): Diplomacy, 4 ranks, 4 points (cross-class, feat made it a class skill, CHA) (Total: 5) Climb, 3 ranks, 3 points (class, STR) (Total: 4) Handle Animal, 1 rank, 1 point (class, CHA) (Total: 2) Ride, 1 rank, 1 point (class, DEX) (Total: 4) Jump, 3 ranks, 3 points (class, STR) (Total: 4)
This gives you some good damage at first level, starts you off on the Two Weapon Fighting line of feats, gives you the diplomatic part of your personality, and the thirst for death can be filled just by straight-up always being in the fray of battle.
I recommend using medium armor, probably scale mail or a breastplate, and two handaxes, for that lethal feel (they are slashing weapons)
You don't need to use this, I just felt like making a build. |
