| I don't support it in anyway but I keep hearing people saying that it doesn't work... Yet I also hear that the Soviet union didn't use it right. + If it didn't work than why is Vietnam, N. Korea and China still communist? |

Here is a senario;
You live in a communist state where everything is planed by the government
people all at once want a car, the government only allows a certain number of cars.
Communism failed.
Governments are horrible at planning.
That is why you have corporations so there is competition.
Also, in a communist state, there is no motivation to work, no matter how hard you work, you get 'payed' the same amount. so production slows and eventually will stop.
Progress comes to a halt in communism.
That is why Reaganism prevailed, it made an environment for people to live and prosper and be motivated, because they know that the harder they work, the more they will earn.
Communism FAILS

Chin COULD do well, but the Chinese society sucks. -And it's too large of a country and it's too diverse and people always want separation. -There are filthy rich people and there are really poor people. Capitalism can get really scary in China because of the lack of human rights. It all depends on the person... -You don't have the rights to own a land in China (which I have never thought of it as a really bad thing). Which means if you were told that your house will be torn down, you have no choice but to move someplace else (unless if you are filthy rich). The government will usually provide you a new house to live in. -most things in China are fake, fake, and fake. People prefer money than respect, dignity, or everything, I suppose. |

| No, because in communism, everyone is equal, therefore, no one person or group would be able to make decisions. |

| Except for the party members. Lenin is a perfect example. I wouldn't call him equal to all the other people that lived in the USSR. |

| I wouldn't really call it true communism since many people in the USSR were unequal, but it's still an example. Communism could work if no one got the money and it was evenly divided. However there will always be someone who wants a bigger share and who gets a bigger share. |

True communism cannot happen in the real world, is it pure fantasy.
Communism is a mere excuse for those to rise to power. |

| Exactly, if people become self-less, then communism might be possible. But until then, it's extremely improbable. |

If you judge how well a government works by its efficiency, then communist governments are incredibly successful. Removing the will of the people has the interesting effect of streamlining the whole operation.
The problem arises when the decisions the government makes are the wrong ones. While communist governments govern incredibly well (if "well" means ignoring inalienable rights), they are terrible for the economy. Nothing insofar makes decisions better than people looking out for their own self-interest.
China is a moderately successful nation chiefly because it has made impressive strides towards a free-er market. Despite the fact that its GDP per capita is still a 7th of the US's, China's growth has been impressive.
Command functions when it doesn't govern the market. |

China is now a communist state by name only, with capitalism now making its mark progressively.
Now its just an authoritarian state to break it down. |

Pretty much, pepper. It was an overstatement to call China communist.

| Good ol' Winston once said that Democracy is the worst form of government that man has ever devised...except for all of the other governmental systems. Raises some interesting questions. :P |
