Imaginary numbers are so pointless, only useful in like two things.
If you want to factor that, go for it, and you get your roots, well actually your x intercepts.
But use the quadratic formula for now.
so x^2+2x-4 turns into
-2 +/- square root of 4-4(1)(-4) / 2(1)
too lazy to do any more. |
