| First off, the lighting looks AMAZING! 9/10 Robloxians agree, and this could easily make Roblox the greatest MMOG on the internet. Most likley, many people would join Roblox if they saw a Tv comercial with those amazing graphics and buildings. Roblox could make Tons if they go through with this. I recommend going through with this idea. (Yes this is a suggestion, because im suggesting to go through with this plan) |

| Not really a suggestion since they ARE going to go through with it. Just keep in mind that is just a render of a roblox level to be able to more easily test shaders/lighting so that they know how they want to implement it in Roblox keeping in mind performance. |

"9/10 Robloxians agree"
Where'd you come up with that number? You can't just pull stuff out of your... ear... and expect it to be completely fine with everyone.
"this could easily make Roblox the greatest MMOG on the internet"
AHAHAHAHA no.
"many people would join Roblox if they saw a Tv comercial with those amazing graphics and buildings."
Dynamic shadows won't make Roblox's graphics instantly become super amazing.
And then, have you considered that:
-Roblox hasn't actually succeeded in adding dynamic shadows in their actual game engine, they put it in a 3d modeling program (where everything is statically rendered) and used that to make shadows. It's orders of magnitude more difficult and more laggy to add shadows in a 100% dynamic environment like Roblox, where using scripting, you can create hundreds of bricks and move them around almost instantly.
-Many people don't have very good computers. Roblox is made to be able to run on 10 year old machines with barely any RAM and really bad integrated graphics. Adding shadows would not only be difficult, but it would have to be adaptable to those systems that can't handle these types of graphics. This is even mentioned in the blog post, if I remember correctly. |

1. Roblox has not confirmed they are going with this style lighting 2. 9/10 Robloxians DO want this to go though, if you would read the Tech Blogs comments about it, you would know. 3. It's not just Shadows, it's the lighting. The Sun shines almost EXACTLY the same way as in real life 4. Yes when they saw how amazing Roblox looked, they would most likley wanna try the game.
