+=I'd like to thank all of my followers through all the times and for staying with me. For your thanks I give you the first chapter of my new series. Enjoy! :D=+
It was dark and cold morning at UCR Fort Orion. There was a cold, brisk breeze coming off the ocean and there was a fresh blanket of snow that had fallen on the grounds that night. X-101st had raided the other day, but fell short because of cannon rounds from the UCR S.S. Crackdown. It was a glorious fight with the tide of the battle going every other way, but UCR prevailed through the night and won. The smell of mortar rounds and the scenes of war play through the minds of the men and women that held the grounds as they walk around. The sun is just now peaking it’s way over the cool, blue water in the distance, but there’s something odd about this. There’s a dark spot in the horizon, but... It’s moving! There’s a small convoy of X-101st fighter pilots on their way to a now unprotected Fort Orion. The ships had gone to protect Gelido who had a raid hit them and was now in control of the enemy and the fighter pilots had gone with them due to supposed bombers. It was a match up for X-101st and one they’d either got lucky with or had set up perfectly. The men and women, led by Skater16 and Brenpuff, were about to have a fight on their hands.
Meanwhile at UCR Outpost Gelido, the UCR battleships and fighters have now arrived. UCR S.S. Crackdown had been shelling the grounds for a while now and had managed to blow a hole in the side of the gate to let the UCR fateful into the base. The fighter pilots, led by TheRedcoat, had been taking the bombers out to prevent them from getting to the battleships. Steaming towards the base, that’d been released to Gelido no earlier then an hour ago, was the two other battleships that had been prized by UCR; UCR S.S. Valor and UCR S.S. Prosperity. As they close in on the base the spirits of the X-101st drop greatly and in their awe; UCR breaks into the base. The battle by now was going in and out of the hands of both sides, but was now on it’s way to start it’s final and most brutal part of the raid that had been named, no more then a couple moments ago, “Battle for the Icecap”.
Back at UCR Fort Orion the UCR fateful had been getting pounded with relentless bombings from the X-101st bombers and countless shells from the X-101st S.S. Judgement. Skater16, recently put into command of defense for the battle, had set out with a squad of fourteen other fighters to try to take out the bombers. They hadn’t even made it a thousand meters from the landing/take off spot, set up by UCR that very week, when X-101st fighters engaged. They quickly took out three of the fourteen fighters, but not without losing two of the ten they’d sent out. An arial battle soon broke out in the sky. Now, on the other side of the island, X-101st troops started landing and charging on the base, led by none other then LordVade himself. Brenpuff, that had mortar teams set up just a moment ago, had them zero in on the X-101st landing positions and forced them to get into a tighter formation that had set them up for a perfect situation for the two-man machine gun positions that started unloading on the troops. Forced to fall back, LordVade called for a retreat back to the boats, but had found them destroyed due to mortar rounds from the UCR fateful hitting their marks. With the hopes of the ground attack lost the X-101st dropped their weapons and surrendered. With the surrendering of LordVade and his troops reaching the bombers and ships of the X-101st; the battle was over. The ships left, the bombers and fighters with them. LordVade, filled with defeat in his heart, called off the raid, but was released. UCR had won the raid at Orion, but the “Battle for the Icecap” was still going on at Gelido.
Gelido was in full boom. Shellings on the grounds were still going on and hand-to-hand combat in the fort was now going on. UCR was starting to fall back, but a quick bombing on the X-101st saved them and sent UCR in a full charge and forced X-101st into a corner. The X-101st commanding officer had no choice, but to surrender to UCR. The “Battle for the Icecap” was now over and UCR finally got a break. X-101st was now falling back to their own bases and preparing for a counter attack that was sent the next day. UCR was now seeing the end of the war and saw themselves as the victors on the top of the mountain. UCR’s hearts were now heaving with victory and their minds were set on nothing, but beating X-101st. The war looked over, but was about to take a dramatic turn in the favor of X-101st troops. |

@Freak; I think I can find somewhere to put you in.
@Doom; It's not really that long, it's only long because the appearance from the spacing which is to break up the reading for people that have problems with it. I know for me that if I just read a whole block of words it starts to hurt my eyes and I end up losing my spot from my taking a break and looking away. |

| @Doom; I know you were, I just countered with staying calm and blowing it off with a nice explanation. I don't get upset with trolling and I don't really understand why people must try. |

| Well, actually the only person I know well in this story is, Skater16 and I don't like putting myself in stories. It's overrated and actually shows that you're an attention suck up. |
