So... I have this idea for a RP like in, the ancient Egypt.
Here it is...
About 1262 BC, at the reign of Rameses the second, there was a war, between the Egyptians and the Hitties. A large drought struck Egypt, causing crops to die, along with people. The nile was too dangerous to pass, because the Nile animals are always there, eating plants and drinking water, every boat that tried to cross the Nile were demolished by attacking Hippos and Crocs. Egypt is about to crumble. Will you try and save your friends and family? |

FINALLY!!!!!
Sorry. I've been begging for an Egyptian RP for quite a while now. Though I like the premise, I don't think too many people would understand the conflicts between the Egyptians and Hittites. I think, perhaps, we should throw in an aspect of fantasy and include the supernatural stories of Egypt, with spells, superstitions, spirits and priests. |

| Ah, I knew I was forgetting something! Yes, there will be supernatural stories, and the gods of Egypt. |

And spirits, and the underworld, and demons, and etc.
Have you ever heard the story of Setne Khwamas and the Book of Magic? |

If so, I pick Thoth the scribe god (fitting, for a roleplay writer).
So the story goes: Setne Khwamas had heard of a magic book written by the god Thoth. He and his brother believe it is hidden in a local tomb, so they break the door upen and go searching inside. Setne encounters the spirit of the prince buried inside. "If you want the book of magic" he says, "you will have to play draughts (checkers) for it." So Setne and the prince get out a board and begin to play. Sene lost three times, and each time the Prince struck Setne over the head, driving him into the ground until only his head was visible. He called to his brother to fetch his magic amulets, and by their power he broke free and took the book. As Setne was walking home with the book, he encountered the most beautiful woman he ever saw in his life. He begged her to live with him. "I will," she said, "but only if you kill your wife and children." Setne didn't know that she was actually a demon named Tabubu and that he was under her spell. Setne had barely enoughtime to run back to her when she diappeared.
Setne awoke relieved to find that it was all a dream. Frightened by this experience, he returned the book to the tomb. "I will take this back..." the prince explained "if you find the bodies of my wife and children and bring them back to this tomb." Setne found the mummies, returned them back to the prince, and never meddled in the affairs of magic again. |
