I just bought and downloaded minecraft and when I open it I click 'Multiplayer', then add a server and it says that it could not connect. Does anybody know how to fix this?

Numbers and dots
and when it says "Can't Reach Server", it most likely means that the server isn't up.
Floodcheck, we meet again. It's time to Fus... RO-DAH! |

@Lamatron
No.
The IP has to be something like this: "5.47.207.237" or "2620:9b::52f:cfed"
It has to be a real IP, otherwise it will not work. |

| Just go to the Minecraft forums and look for an IP, you'll find way better servers there. |

@Lamatron
The one I gave you didn't work because it was an example.
plus you have to know how to make a server. |
