I'm against digital piracy under DMCA, but SOPA is just rediculous. We criticize contries like Iran and China for blocking internet sites to their citizens, and now we're thinking of doing it ourselves. This is just another example of government hypocrisy. I am not supporting the piracy of media on the internet, I am protesting the useless and oppressive provisions of SOPA that allow a single judge to shut down an entire website. Think of it this way: under the current laws, if pirated CDs are found in Best Buy, you contact the manager and he removes it (with or without government "persuasion"). If SOPA passes, it would be like calling the landlord to close up the Best Buy without giving them the chance to remove the offending item.
