| In ROBLOX. I always find myself getting bored of a project halfway through, so I drop it and start a new one. I may or may not go back to the old one. Anyway, am I the only one that's like this? |

| I say no project is ever complete. You should always try to keep it up-to-date and optimized. |

The only one that I can think of off the top of my head that is really as complete as it could be is my LuaText parser generator: http://wiki.roblox.com/index.php/User:XLEGOx/luatext
Plus 5 or so games that were *complete* in the sense that they were playable and interesting, but not really finished as they could be. |

| I get too caught up in the possibilities of all of my projects. My only ever *complete* game was just a simple maze game... No, wait. I'm not done with that. I didn't make difficulties. |

I know. You make a project, then you are like. "This will be a simple project", and in this case, you realize soon that your project is super inefficient/the coding needs to be redone, and then you stop working on it.
Or if you're making a big project, 1 concept (usually making a pseudo something) catches me, and I am forced to quit/stop.
Basically ROBLOX's limitations of
- Brick count - Premade content
Makes me stop. :( It's not ROBLOX's fault, but.... I guess.... IDK. |

My phase of projects: -Come up with great idea -Start writing efficient code -Come up with more ideas -Don't have enough time or patience to implement it all -Project abandoned
The only exception is my RPG. I just need them to make terrain water... |

The only significant project I've completed are relating to Lua assembly. Though I never did finish my Lua compiler ;_; |

A good way to actually finish a larger project is to make something small, and figure out *everything* it'll have beforehand (keeping it simple) and not adding anything else or making it expandable. And then you can finish something and feel good.
Here's the last project like such I finished: http://www.roblox.com/A-Game-of-Guns-1-1-1-place?id=51816627 (it was also a way to spread the use of ROBLOX's raycasting to people who aren't too up-to-date) |

I promise myself I wouldn't quit a project... Next day later I lost interest. |

@LPChat
Doesn't work. My internal quality control doesn't allow it. |

@Quenty Mine normally doesn't either.
If you'll notice, the coding in that game is pretty... erm, bad. |

You should see all the hacks in my current game (that I'm suppose to be rewriting the code for). I break like 3 different ROBLOX Scripts. :D
Most of my 'Cheap' completed projects were fighting games or building games. Each had better building, and better scripting/GUI's then the average game, but it still wasn't what I wanted.
However, I did get lots of experience, like creating a 40 item GUI shop in a 60 line script. :P
However, now every single one of my games that is really a project includes fancy camera manipulation, usually an inventory with items in it, a monetary system, and GUI tweening, and some even have custom UI's.
That's like ALL of my games. -___-

I don't really begin projects, though currently I'm starting a small project with RavenShield. I like to make 'games' with cool concept, not full-out game play. Most of the games in my showcase are like that.

I have 50+ uncompleted places.
My only completed place was a place with a baseplate on it... |

@RoAnt
I have that problem too. But I manage to motivate myself again to work on it after a break. |

| I've "completed" a few places. Namely my first game which I created before I knew as much as I know now. I'm working on something else and did notice my quality control tried to take over, but I think I fixed that problem. Somewhat. From what I have now, I divided the entire thing into different classes with a single main script calling all those functions and such. The code is cool, but will the game itself be? Dunno yet. |
