I am trying to understand topological spaces, but Wikipedia seems to be too informative for me. I understand that topology is the study of properties that are preserved under continues deformations of objects, but I don't understand how that corresponds to Topological Space.
I have been using Roblox Studio and scripting to learn about many algebraic properties and geometrical axioms, which corresponds to me studying nuclear physics (which none of that is relevant to my problem, just knowing that I am trying to recreate these theorems and ideas in Roblox). |

I don't even see one question mark in my post...
Does anyone know a way I can begin to learn about topological spaces without brute forcing through Wikipedia's pages? |

Aren't you just great...
No but really, I did go through Google (and we all know after page 3 everything becomes quite irrelevant). All of the knowledge there is usually first hand (coming from a professional). It's much easier to learn from someone on Roblox - or another young-aged forum type thing, because they usually have learned it in their own way instead of following some strict set of guidelines.
Second-hand knowledge is simpler to understand. |

I once found an answer to one of my questions on page 52 on Google.
Keep looking, or go to some library and find a book :s |

I found a few books on it...but they were around 100$+ and I didn't feel like spending that much money on one. If there was a library around me...then I would go to one...

Things start to become irrelevant after page 3? I guess you do not know of the many secrets of the Google Search engine. For an example, using speech marks around the text to limit the results to your exact words. Maybe even using the "NOT" operator.
Anyway, I'll continue looking and hopefully learn what they are - and find an article for you. |

Heh...I have a hard time reading a book from a computer screen. But I also tried that in desparation.
@nightname
Huh...I mean I've always known about some of the search operators but I never really thought they would actually be helpful in something like this. Might as well try.
And thanks for looking, but you really don't have to do that. |

I guess informing me that printers were invented entitles you to some sort of an opportunity. Just answer this question.
How do I make the following expression actually print something (without changing the expression itself):
a.b = 1 |

I remember that group pretty well. I was a member in the past, but left because I did not have enough space for other groups.
I don't really care about groups now a days... They seem to be so "crowded".

1)Write your own search spider (crawler, engine, whatever, but spider sounds cooler) 2)Write better search parameters 3)??? 4)PROFIT from being better than Google, sell the code, become the new Steve Jobs, die of cancer 30 years later.
Being an ass aside, why don't you try asking people you actually know, like teachers or proffesors?

Like so:
a = {} setmetatable(a, {__newindex = function(table, index, newindex) print(newindex); end
})
a.b = 1 > 1 |

Can I return to my rightful place? It seems having the "Master Scripter" under you name makes people respect you.
Why did I leave that group... |
