Because it doesn't work.

Because I ate my crisps for dinner.

I dream of a country where it actually works. Real communism, not the pathetic watered down versions of the bygone era.

A place where you can focus on living your life - not having to worry about finances or the safety of your job.

First you have to know what communism is.
Once you understand what it is, you will understand how it will never work in the real world.

Human nature bla bla bla...
There are examples of it working, so why do people still say that?

There are NO examples of it working. Where it has "worked," it has worked only to stagnate.

Communism works.

It's just the people that don't.

True communism has never actually existed, anywhere at any time.

Well there are two schools of thought, regarding why Communism doesn't work.

One school of thought is the one that argues human nature gets in the way.

The other school of thought argues that it only works to stagnate, so it doesn't truly work.

The first one has been described enough that I will not elaborate on it. It's pretty apparent, in any case why the first school of thought is the easier one to accept.

The second one however...

One could argue that the communist society China works (before you get all blah-blah-blah quit confusing communism with totalinisrism, they are two different things, yes. One is an economic style (Communism) and the other is a government style.) Yes, I'm aware China is a bad example to choose from, but we can't really say anything for North Korea, USSR, or Cuba. China is the biggest and I guess most thriving communistical society. It's not true communism as Grim would argue it, because communism calls for the absolving of the government. Chinese business is doing quiet well, compared to other societies today.

Now, I know there have been some social reforms recently to make China more of capitalistic, however, those reforms have been small and not too big. Just enough to remain communism, but enough that they can breathe a little bit easier.

Why does it work in China better than other places? It works better because the Chinese culture already places the community above the self. They've been a communistical society since their beginnings, so it was only natural for them to declare it in the cold war. They are the strongest communist state as far as I am aware, because N. Korea no information gets in or out, and I haven't heard much from Cuba. That's about the only flaw that the second school of thought has.

Now please note, I'm a die-hard capitalist. I'd rather live in a pure capitalist society than a pure communist society. I'm merely presenting the facts.

@Jinxy

You claimed that even with its reforms, China still remained communist, that is not true.
