| I would never join the army, it's not worth it. There is a huge risk of being killed and you don't get payed much. |

@Tax Wouldn't your dad swell up with pride knowing his son is fighting for his nation against oppressive and evil people? |

The only time I thought I ever would join the army was after 9/11- And that was when I was but a wee mini troll.
Some people are just blinded- no, deceived- by their "patriotism" and whatever "cause" or excuse the military has to poke their C4 in other peoples business and blow s*** up.

| True. The governments of the world have manipulated their citizens into hating eachother, and talking about 'protecting the homeland'. |

Call me anti-American and whatnot, but I would never risk my life for my country. I love America, I'm proud to be an American, but I could never risk my life for my country. |

^ This.
But if he's over 18, he can go do anything he wants. I'm not stopping him from living his life.

>@silencer When I get older and have kids. And if they ask "Is it okay if I join the army?" I would say no and send him to his room without supper. Because That's what a good parent does. Also they don't care about the evil supressive powers. -------------------------------- When he turns 18 you have no say in what he does. -------------------------------- >This thread is full of so much Liberal garbage, lol. Alright, I'll lay down the law.
1.) Besides the fact that you have to have a high school diploma to joint the US military (I don't know how retarded the NZ military is, you probably just need to know how to shear sheep.)
2.) Many join because college life isn't promising to them and they just want to serve there country. The small amount of kids that join because of COD QUICKLY get weeded out and drop out of boot camp.
3.) Am I retarded? Because I want to join the army, and my parents are fine with it, because I am applying for the US Army Academy (Westpoint), one of the best school in the nation, and guess what? ITS AN ARMY COLLEGE. I am also applying for the Air Force academy. |

Nobody knows what the US is even fighting for.
It's an artificial way to keep oil prices high for increased profits for oil companies. |

LOL PATRIOTIC MORON
Most patriots of any nation are more intelligent than a d bag that blindly bashes said nation. It's like atheists, they think they are so high and mighty, sitting in Starbucks blogging about cats, when no one likes them because they think too highly of themselves. |

Hey, guess what?
No one is fighting for oil.
You think Afghanistan has a sufficient amount of oil? LOLNO.
Iraq had a decent amount, but it you actually did ANY research, you would know that the US actually got less oil from Iraq during AND after the war. YOU are saying, like alot of idiots that have already been dis proven, that we invaded Iraq for oil, yet we got LESS oil out of the invasion.
Yeah, that makes sense, we invaded for oil and got less. Get your crap straight.
We would of just invaded Saudi Arabia or Iran for the smallest reason if we really wanted oil. |
