Lua is a scripting language
Scripting != Programming
Therefore this topic is false. |

| There are a lot of really easy programming languages that aren't very useful. Also, in order to prove that Lua is the third easiest programming language you must prove that there are 2 programing languages easier and that EVERY SINGLE OTHER programming language is harder. This is pretty much impossible, so the assertion is absurdly specific. |

Easy is an opinion. Programming ~= Scripting Lua ~= Programming Lua == Scripting Java = Programming

| Please stop arguing over what's scripting and what's programming, they're both completely informal and either can mean the other. |

Lua is a programming language, hence 'Lua, the programming language'

Someone told me once that learning Lua was as easy as learning English.
Therefore it must be the most difficult language to learn in teh wurld(wide web).

" as easy as learning English."
English is actually a fairly difficult language to learn and use fluently.

As you can see from the satirical comment exactly two lines down..

Weird, I always saw English as a rather easy language. |

Probably because you grew up around people speaking English.

Looking back, Lua is a really easy language to learn. It has a simple syntax that is both powerful and concise. But now that Lua 5.2 is out of beta, I want to give sinful GOTOs a try. It'd be really cool if it were less restricted to labels though (as their syntax isn't pretty) |

| Even though most of the time(cough 99.9999% of the time) we don't discuss RBX.Lua, this forum is supposed to be about RBX.Lua and not Lua. So either way, this is spam. |

You probably just thought English was easy because it's of Germanic descent, which was your first language. My first language, which was Thai (ching chang chong), wasn't related to English or any of the romantic or Germanic languages.
Coincidental analogy: English is to German as RBX.Lua is to the main Lua, which can be used as both a scripting and programming language, by the way.
