Remember when Obama said he wouldn't sign the NDAA? ___ Although it may come as a shock that I'm defending Obama, he never said he wouldn't sign it. |

SOPA is an interesting piece of legislation. It's trying to extend better private property rights to the Internet, but in doing so it gives new, awesome power to the judiciary system.
This reminds me of the PATRIOT Act. Will terrifying infringements against our constitutional rights occur? Probably not. But it's the threat of power - whether it's used or not - that creates an aura of uncertainty. |

| It doesn't have to be signed by Obama to become law. Congress can overturn his veto, and the bill can be passed to the Supreme Court to be transferred into law without Obama's signature. |

Congress can overturn his veto, ____ Yeah, but they need a 3/4 majority, which they definitely DON'T have.
and the bill can be passed to the Supreme Court to be transferred into law without Obama's signature. ____ Hahahaha, no it can't. |

After Congress' veto overturn, it can be passed to the Supreme Court to be transfered into law after they approve it. Yes it can, all without the president's signature.
Checks and balances, bro. |

After Congress' veto overturn, ___ I already replied to this. Congress does not have enough votes to overturn his veto.
it can be passed to the Supreme Court to be transfered into law after they approve it. ___ The Supreme Court has nothing to do with overturning vetoes. |

The NDAA passed 93/7, thats a LOT more then 3/4... ___ SOPA and NDAA are two different laws. There is a lot more registered opposition to SOPA than the NDAA. |

Ugh...
You're not getting it. The Supreme Court decides if bills are constitutional and then transfers them into law. It's the final step in the law application process.
It can be done without the president's approval if Congress overturns his veto, then the bill is passed to the Supreme Court where the bill becomes law. |

| They only decide its constitutionality if there are appeals against it, and if those appeals get beyond lower circuit judges, neither of which is guaranteed. |

This is what happens when Brits try to understand the Lawmaking process.
The Supreme court has NOTHING to do with making laws. Let me play this video we show 4 year olds so they can understand I trust the thinking level is on the same field, you should feel right at home...
