This update would be optional, so if you don't support it, you'll have to think of something other than "that would be so annoying."
Under Account, you could toggle what sorts of messages are worthy of beeps. For example, if I want messages from Best Friends and people in my clan to let out sound, then nobody else's PMs would do that. However, if the same person messaged you twice or more in a row, the second beep would not be heard from them until, let's say, a 10 minute cooldown. Also, this way someone who's not on your friends list couldn't spam you with sound.
Under Account, you could also choose if you want it so that when Best Friends go online, it notifies you with a beep.
How would this be helpful?
If you are AFK, but still online because your waiting for friends to come online and play a game, or a message from a clan leader, then this feature would really be helpful. I know it's a drag when your friend says he or she will be on soon, or that a raid will come at some point between the next hour, and you end up going AFK for awhile and keep checking in.
One of the things that keeps me here on ROBLOX is friends, and building. So when there's no building to be done, no shirts to made, no group events, I naturally go to a classic place, or wait for a friend, and check in every once in awhile after reading, or going outside, or playing Skyrim (Elder Scrolls ftw...)
Thanks for reading the entire post, and if you support, tell your friends. More posts means more attention from the admins. |

Support, although the beeps shouldn't be loud.

Hell, even throw in a talking notification saying "You got mail!" or "You got spam!".
And there should be an option in account settings to turn them off. |

| Yeah Drew, I put that on :3. You can easily turn it off, so people that don't want to get these notifications can just turn em off. |
