ROFL no way you will learn C++ without knowing any other coding first. Try learning something simpler like MySQL PHP and HTML

| If you're planning on learning programming languages like C++ eventually, I suggest that, once you've learned HTML ( Which I suggest starting with ), learn JavaScript. It is a helper programming language for HTML, simple compared to other programming languages, and it's syntax is almost identical to Java and C++. After learning JavaScript, other programming languages should be relatively easy. |

@Mcnoobster
Yea this was pretty much on a whim. I was like "Hey, why don't I learn C++, I mean how hard can it be?" Then I googled how, got a tutorial, searched for an hour where to type it in, and then posted this thread. I dont know anything about any kind of coding other than some of the names (HTML, LUA, C++, BASIC - thats pretty much it). I don't know what good it will do me or what its used for.
tl;dr: giv mi infoz |

Suggested you learn C++ and Objective C. They are quite good if you want to get into a iPhone app creating (Which I am).
Check GeckoFPS' post.

Well C++ is commonly used in making game engines and just normal computer programs such as calculators and other basic things. Your best bet would be learning HTML first it takes only about a day to learn it's hardly even coding. After that start with some more complex things like PHP or MySQL.
If you really do want to learn C++ first with out learning anything else before hand I honestly do prefer using thenewboston.

| Search xoax (.) net, it has C++ and HTML video tutorials. I think it also tells you about them. |

Oh yes, check out Thenewboston's videos on Youtube as well.
That's how I learned C#. His videos are very understandable.
Also, a compiler turns your code into a exe so you can run it. |

batch is possibly more simple than Lua, mainly because to crash one's computer:
:start start goto start
what it does: keeps opening cmd until the computer overloads |

Maintenance stopped me from posting this earlier.
Ok, so let me put this together. (Fill in the blanks)
Don't learn C++ first, learn HTML and JavaScript beforehand. HTML is for _____ and JavaScript is for ______ but they will help me learn C++, which is for _______. I can test my codes with _____ and I can get that by ______. Eventually I will be able to ______ with my knowledge of these. A good tutorial/ way to learn is ________. |

Don't learn C++ first, learn HTML and JavaScript beforehand. HTML is for basic web design and JavaScript is for making games such as CP but they will help me learn C++, which is for making game engines and programs like calculators. I can test my codes with codeblocks and I can get that by going to there website. Eventually I will be able to make a nice site and game with my knowledge of these. A good tutorial/ way to learn is watch thenewbostons videos on YT or his site.

| It depends on your level of programming. If you really want to dedicate yourself to learning and already know say... Lua, than I guess C++ would be ok. But, I'm starting out with C#. Its a lot easier to learn than C++ which is good to know, but hard to learn. Sadly, there isn't a C# group on roblox... |
