All they do is waste paper with big signs that tell us not to waste paper and that millions of trees are somehow being cut down in the Amazon Rainforest every day. And they only take up half the paper with their dumb drawings and writting. They could use that piece of paper to make 2 posters AT LEAST if they are going to waste paper. Whenever I say that they are wrong they just say that Im a polluting idiot who doesnt care about the enviornment.
Cant they just send out an email or something? |

And they only take up half the paper with their dumb drawings and writting. __ It would be wasted anyway, but they are using the paper in something useful; they aren't wasting it. They are telling you and other people in your school about the environment: they are enlightening and educating you.
They could use that piece of paper to make 2 posters AT LEAST if they are going to waste paper. __ Make your own club and make your own drawings if you don't like how they have done their club.
Whenever I say that they are wrong they just say that Im a polluting idiot who doesnt care about the enviornment. __ How are they wrong? I feel like you are the wrong, and you are trying to denigrate and defame them. |

I think it would be wiser for them to go online using carbon-neutral computers powered by carbon-neutral energy.
But that's not really cheap OR possible. |

But that's not really cheap OR possible. __ Hey guys, be rational. We all know what that eco-group's objective is, and they have succeeded in their objective at least for my part. A person from Finland will make his next science essay about the environment because of that eco-group. Tell them greetings, thepit44. |

I was kind of trolling, actually.
But yeah, I guess they have succeeded in a sense. It's hard to be both an environmental activist and not a hypocrite at the same time.

They are telling you and other people in your school about the environment: they are enlightening and educating you. __ pfft. They arent educating me anything. 864000 trees get cut down in the amazon each day. Not million. Please get your facts straight.
They could use that piece of paper to make 2 posters AT LEAST if they are going to waste paper. __ Make your own club and make your own drawings if you don't like how they have done their club. __ But I dont want to make an eco team club because nobody cares about them and Im not wasting paper to tell people crap that they could look up if they were actually interested in it. Plus making a club wastes even more paper, so there really is no point.
Whenever I say that they are wrong they just say that Im a polluting idiot who doesnt care about the enviornment. __ How are they wrong? I feel like you are the wrong, and you are trying to denigrate and defame them. __ What I meant by wrong is "millions of trees are somehow being cut down in the Amazon Rainforest every day." This is false. As I said before, its 864000 a day.

pfft. They arent educating me anything. 864000 trees get cut down in the amazon each day. Not million. Please get your facts straight. __ I didn't say a million, but let's see. The United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) reports (2005) that the Earth's total forest area continues to decrease at about 35 714 hectares (89 000 acres) per day. Or 1488 hectares (3720 acres) an hour. Or 25 hectares (62 acres) a minute. Or 0.4 hectares (1 acre) every second.
An American Football field measures 0.53 ha (1.32 acres).
Many people think the actual figure is much higher, because these figures were provided by each country, and may not include illegal logging.
In 1927, scientists of the United States Forest Service Allegheny Experiment Station did a survey of the Allegheny State Forest. They found an average of 335 trees per acre.
Using that number the number of acres above would translate to 29,800,000 (Twenty-nine million, eight hundred thousand) trees cut down every day in the world!
(That number is really just a guess. Twenty years after the first survey, they were finding 497 trees per acre. By 1972 they had 997 trees per acre. In 1998, the latest survey, they were back to 346 trees per acre.)
To date, some 438,000 species of plants of economic and social interest have been registered in the region, and many more have yet to be catalogued or even discovered. unfortunately, it is also one of the world's great rainforest destroyers, burning or felling more than 2.7 million acres each year.
Let's do some math here. 2.7 million acres/365day = 7397,26027 acres/day
7397,26027 acres/day * 335 trees/acres = 2478082.19045 trees/day
So about 2.5 million trees are cut in the Amazon daily. The ecoclub was right, and you were wrong, again.
But I dont want to make an eco team club because nobody cares about them and Im not wasting paper to tell people crap that they could look up if they were actually interested in it. Plus making a club wastes even more paper, so there really is no point. __ Just because they know more about the environment, and they care about the world we live in, unlike selfish people like you, it doesn't mean that they are stupid or they waste paper. The paper is used, not wasted, for educational purposes, and no one is really against that if it really enlightens people. And yes, it did: the eco club launched an argument in the internet, and I became the one to educate you that the eco club are a) correct b) doing good job c) better than you
What I meant by wrong is "millions of trees are somehow being cut down in the Amazon Rainforest every day." This is false. As I said before, its 864000 a day. __ You have never proved me anything but your bigotry and your stubbornness.
DEBUNKEDDEBUNKEDDEBUNKED __ Son, you have long way to achieve that. The ratio is currently 560:0 for me.

I was not wrong, because you calculated for the entire world daily. I calculated the Amazon. Please remember that the Amazon is not the only rainforest in the world.
Two, I never said I hate the enviornment. I just said it would help the enviornment more to send out an email or something rather than put up signs twice the size of what they should be made out of paper.
Three, I have had less than the arguments you said I had. Currently it is something like 5:2 because twice you swore at me and left. |

Here, Ill do my math.
In the AMAZON my research shows 10 trees per second:
10 Trees/sec= 10X60=600 | Thats one minute | 600X60=36000 | Thats one hour | 36000X24=864000 | Thats one day |
