There seem to be a majority of game types in ROBLOX, mostly in these categories.
War games - Taken from modern first person shooters, or just vehicle like games, these are at the top of the most played games. Made extremely simple by ROBLOX and free models, a war game is one of the easiest too create, but will probably not be original.
Scripting Level: 1 -5, depending on how fancy you get.
Obby (Obstacle Course) - Basically jumping over things or walking on skinny paths, or going through a maze, these are repetitive eye-hand coordination tests. Extremely overused, free models allows for hours of repetitive game play.
Scripting Level: 1
Tycoons - Although most are the same now, free models allows for the use of 'starter kits', but can be confusing too users, especially ones who don't know how to use studio. However, these take some scripting skill.
Scripting Level: 3
Role Playing Games - Depending on the type (Range Melude original style) too games like ModVenture, these take skills in scripting and building. If it's just a Role play game, it is more of a building skill. These take skill to make, especially without free models, and creating a complex plot can be difficult. These are probably the hardest to create on ROBLOX.
Scripting Level: 5
Building games - depending on the game, it can be little to much skill level. Eventually though, these games get spammed up with parts, or your creation gets deleted unless advance scripting is applied. These can be fun though.
Scripting level: 0 (If default stuff is used) - 5 (Like ROBLOX Building)
Survival Games - Survive this, survive that, these are almost as popular as Obby's, Games that involve crafting are much more advance then those that are building to survive.
Scripting Level 2-5
Raise a duck (Or something like that) - These games are kind of getting old, once someone published a free model for it, these became something like Tycoons.
Scripting Level: 4 (Unless free model is used)
Destroy the item games. |

You win. Also, my new zombie survival game, when finished, will probably be a 3-4 in scripting. |

| Nice but role-playing games dont take any script level because all people do is say stuff like *goes to the store* "wow I need to buy eggs" *buys three eggs* You know? It's just all pretending with a built environment. |

And my FPS game would probably the most fancy war game in ROBLOX. It took me a LOT of time and work and I think it's pretty good so far. However, some elements of the game pretty much stinks, but one super-cool thing is the customization systems. It's, I think, the first wargame to have customizations like this. Play it to experience. lololol. The GunScript might not be the best, but lol.

@Epic
This is game design.
And no one will help you with scripting if you go to scripters. Because they fix scripts.
Not make them.

Yes but there are many game catagorys that people can classify themselves its not about it s level of scripting either. do some research on great but undiscovered games. |

I think there are more game types than this.
(Besides those that have not been created fully, such as Action RTS games...)
There are RTS games out there, which require many skills as a scripter. That's just one example. I've also seen some interesting obstacle courses, such as the one yesterday. It isn't finished, but you're dodging spikes from the walls, arrows, floor traps, and giant stones in a temple setting. It makes you think.

| I suppose when you said the FPS level is 1-5, that you meant 1, 2, and possibly 3 were if you use free models. With no free models, a playable FPS is pretty hard. |
