We're at least getting ready to. Barksdale AFB was doing drills today, and scrambled a team of helicopters. This is the first time they've done them in a while. The sounds of explosions actually woke me up this morning.
Maybe I'm just being paranoid. |

| Meh, I don't think that would be practical. Russia and China have some form of alliance with Iran, and they wouldn't be too happy if we were to invade. |

| Iran isn't stupid enough to close the Strait of Hormuz. It equates to war with the United States, and economic war with the entire world, including India, China, and Russia. The BRICs are not going to be happy their precious oil flow stopped. |

The Middle East oil isnt that important to the US any way.
We get most of our oil from ourselves and Canada. |

@jhano, Our wells are not near drying up, at least not in the near future, and saying that oil companies are greedy, they arnt greedy at all. You have to get oil from somewhere. Get your country invested in oil will make you rich out of your wildest dreams. Sooner or later we will find something better than oil, soon enough there will be a cheaper way to make solar power. |

| It is good to take risks, it builds character, it will get you to places. Nothing will be perfect, Oil spills happen sometimes, after each time, we find ways on how to make things better. They arnt planned, the company leaders arnt sitting in their offices plotting on how to take over the world. |

"greedy oil companies"
I where you're coming from, but isn't the point of running a business (at least in a free-market economy) to make a profit? since a majority of major oil companies are based in the US, they'd fall into that category. |

| zct, a perfect example of the paranoid socialist wanna-ba teenager, who cannot understand, nor grasp the understanding of the fact that communism and socialism are both bankrupt and utterly dead ideologies. |
