Hey guys I am pretty old but never built vehicles that much and im thinking of constructing a truck like a Peterbilt ; I wan't to start from scratch and I am planning in building with non-welded wedges and to connect them to the truck do I make the Chasis of the truck full weld ?
Much thanks for reading this paragraph ;) |

| What exactly do you mean by weld? Do you mean the surface weld? Or the class weld? |

| Im guessing it's the surface weld where it's a brick that anything can stick on too it ? |

| Well the weld class does that too. It's just a bit more complicated and can connect things even if they're touching. And why don't you want welds on the wedges? You can always hide them. |

| Just weld whatever needs to be welded and leave what doesn't completely blank. Don't add welds on every side of every brick because welds tend to add lag to a game. |

Ok how about if I put 2 wedges into eachother will it still be sticked on there if they are both welded and will the car still be able to move?
-How about meshes ; how do I make it stick to the vehicle ?
Thanks. |

Weld the wedges at their bases to the part you want them stuck to so that the welds don't show. Now for the meshes. For meshes you should know that they don't literally change the shape of the brick. The brick you placed the mesh on is still the same shape, it just looks different because of the mesh that's covering it so welding a brick with a mesh works the same way as welding any other brick, it's just that on some meshes, the welds wont appear (That doesn't mean that they aren't there).
Sorry this sounds like a jumbled mess but please keep asking if you don't understand. |

| So how about if I were to cframe a spring through a brick without welding it will it stick & the vehicle will still be able to move ? |

| I don't use CFrame on my cars so I'm not entirely sure but I believe that you use a weld script for that and people in the scripting forum can help describe to you what that is exactly, what it's applications are for, and most importantly how you can use it to your advantage when building a car. Now before you do this, check if the spring mesh can be affected with mesh offset. This will save you time by just offsetting the mesh instead of having to CFrame it into place. I believe it won't work but it's worth a try. |

There is a weld script in wiki that you can use. It is better than a regular tooled weld ,and sometimes the tooled weld doesn't work. Insert the weld script into the model. |
