Hi, it's Crazypotato4 again with another idea.
Please excuse all the words that have had characters replaced, the filter has blocked this post more times than you can imagine. :l
There is a TL;DR at the bottom like usual, but if you aren't going to support, then take the time to read the whole idea so you know exactly what you're not supporting. You may think that an idea is bad, but if I explained it better in the full version of this post than I did in the TL;DR, it may change how you look at that idea.
A while ago, when I actually typed this post, there was a lot of talk about ways to stop PGing. The most popular idea was a "login attempt", where you could only attempt to log in a certain amount of time before you got locked out of Roblox for an hour or so. This idea isn't bad, but I think that mine is better.
I suggest that Roblox puts in place a system similar to what Steam has. When you haven't logged on from a certain c0mputer for a certain amount of time (if at all), if you try to log in from that c0mputer, then you get redirected somewhere where you have to paste in a code that gets emailed to you. This means that a person would have to first guess y0ur p4ss, then figure out y0ur em@il, then figure out y0ur em@il's p4ss. Y0ur em@il provider probably has some sort of login attempt or something of that nature as well, so this would take quite a while.
Another thing that could be implemented is a checkbox when you log in that says "Remember my login on this c0mputer"? If this is not checked, then not only would it log you off once you close the browser, but it would also remove that c0mputer from the list of c0mputers you've recently logged in from, so any future attempts to log in from that c0mputer would be blocked until you enter the code that got emailed to you.
But what if kids want to log in from their friends' houses? What if they used their p4rent's em@il? What happens then? Well, if their parent has created a p4rent acc0unt, then there would be a setting there to either disable the security thing, or something that would let them input a code that would be used for whenever the kid tried to log in from a different c0mputer, so instead of getting emailed a code, the kid would just use that.
Finally, there could be a place in a parent account where you can see what c0mputers have been used to log in to that account recently (it may or may not include the ones that had 'Remember my login' unchecked, the admins will have to work that out themselves). This could help track y0ur account's activity or something. I dunno. Just an idea.
FAQ:
Q. I have to try a lot of times before typing in my p4ss correctly! Would this lock me out of Roblox? A. No, this does not care about y0ur l0g!n inf0rmati0n or how many times you enter it, it only cares that you copy/paste the code from y0ur em@il correctly.
Q. Wouldn't it be annoying to have to do this every time you log in? A. No, because you would only have to do it occasionally when you haven't logged in for a while or when you're using a different c0mputer
Q. What about people who haven't verified their em@il? A. They wouldn't be protected by this system, so their accounts wouldn't be as safe. Simple as that.
Q. What if I have an IP that changes a lot? A. This wouldn't be based on y0ur IP, it would save cookies to y0ur browser. So it would also make you re-enter the code if you clear y0ur browser's cookies, but really, it's not that much trouble, is it?
Q. Wouldn't this encourage hax? A. No, just the opposite really q-q
Q. Couldn't a PGer just guess the code? What makes this anything more than just a second p4ss? A. I guess the site could lock you out if you enter the code more than a few times incorrectly (so basically just like a login attempt but less annoying for most people), because you would normally just copy/paste the code from y0ur em@il, so there's no reason to get it wrong.
Q. Y U SO EPOK A. cuz i am
TL;DR VERSION:
Add a system where on the first time you try to log in to Roblox from a different c0mputer, you have to enter a code that gets emailed to you. Add a checkbox in the login thingy that says "Remember my login on this c0mputer?" that will log you off when you exit the browser if it isn't checked Add something in the parent account that lets you see the c0mputers and stuff where y0ur child has logged in from.
Please let me know if I have missed anything or if something in my post is wrong, and thanks for reading!

| @Gking: I don't know what the filter blocks, I tried a lot of different things. I saw the 'message blocked by filter' screen so much, I just censored everything. |

Basing it on Cookies is a stupid idea. That would make every roblox player have to individually check each cookie before deleting instead of "Delete All". basing it off the Ip would be natural. If your IP changes, it means your compuetr has changed, which responds to the principal "Everytime you log in on new computer". This would also make logging in on iPhone browsers alot harder(some people do check the website on their phone, DWI) because iOS automatically deletes cookies, so each time you check in on iOS you would have to retype this code every single time you log in.

@YaJustGotRickrolled
He's saying that if you haven't logged in on a certain computer before, they'd want to make sure it's you. |

| @dawoofinator: how so? you copy/paste the code from your em@il when you log in on a new computer (which probably isn't that often, you probably log in from the same computer most of the time), and that's it. you just have to do it once. doesn't seem too tedious to me. |

Base it off of location. Then maybe. I don't want to sign in at my mom's/Dad's/Friend's house and have to log into my email.

Can you check the general location that an IP is in? :o
And then what about the chances that someone else in your area, maybe a friend that doesn't like you any more, tries to hack your account? I just feel like it would be more secure for it to use email.
Plus, you could always just use a parent account and give yourself a code to type when you log in at a friend's house. c: |

| Support. If Roblox had forum mods that come to look for good ideas on S&I, that would be a miracle. |
