No, we don't. It would take too much time to have to add a compiler for MORE languages, then double the wiki, when Lua does the job fine. If you want to use other languages, use another IDE that was meant for it. What language were you thinking of, anyway?

If they went through all that trouble to add Python, most people would still use Lua anyway because A) It's what they're used to, and B) Because Python looks as ugly as mud.

HTML is a markup language, not a programming language. You can't make a game out of HTML.

They're blocking HTML from the forums, because you can use it to screw up the webpage, especially if you use the <script> tag.

I didn't mean to code html, I mean to post a script if something is wrong. But from your explanation nvm on that.

But as for python so? It's in the same group as Lua in programming so why not just add it?

And as I said before, most people will use Lua anyway, because A) It's easier to understand, B) It's what they're used to, and C) Python still looks like mud.

Wrong, and wrong. HTML is a programming language; it tells the computer how to display text and images.. And you can make a game out of HTML. You just can't make it alone with HTML; you need PHP, ASP or some other browser language with it.

They aren't refereed as one by themselves, no.

"Markup languages like XML, HTML or troff, which define structured data, are not generally considered programming languages. Programming languages may, however, share the syntax with markup languages if a computational semantics is defined. XSLT, for example, is a Turing complete XML dialect. Moreover, LaTeX, which is mostly used for structuring documents, also contains a Turing complete subset. "

I also meant that you especially can't make a ROBLOX game out of HTML.

You can, but you can't. Depends on how it'd be used in the ROBLOX game. If it were possible to show web pages with RBX.Lua, you could easily us HTML with the game alongside.

@kingkiller1000

I can make that snowflake background with html(Though it would be better with CSS)

YOu can also make the webpage at the beginning when you're not logged in html.

But you can't technically DO anything with HTML, so it would be useless to add in Studio.

Wait, kingkiller

When you said

"You can't use HTML"

Do you mean

Roblox didn't use html when making this website or you can use it when programming? Getting really tired :P

I believe I said, "You can't use HTML to MAKE A GAME". If you think you can, write me a simple HTML script to count to 20.

If HTML couldn't be used, why would they make it in the first place?

If it was actual Lua it wouldn't be hard, seems how Lua is also a browser language.
