Hello, just wanted to keep the promotion guide up to date with how I've been promoting people.
~Aspiring Mariner to Midshipman: Every month, I choose a new batch of 8-15 new midshipmen to train to Lieutenant. I generally choose them at random.
~Acting Lieutenant: The Acting Lieutenant rank gives a midshipman the official power of a Lieutenant, although he or she has not been officially commissioned as an officer yet.
~Midshipman to Lieutenant: Of the 8-15 people I select, some will become Lieutenants. This happens after they have been a midshipman for one month. In that time the Captains, Commodores, Admirals and I will have a chance to guage your prowess. I will not promote OBC or TBC members with more than 10 groups unless they show that they are willing to make RBRN a high priority in their clan life.
~Lieutenant to Commander: This is a big leap, youre going from taking orders to giving them. You earn this rank by finding me at The Admiralty building and PMing me. When you stalk or spam me you should probably reinforce your promotion request with good reasons and proper grammer.
~Commander to Captain: Captains are always needed to command the larger vessels in a fleet. Commanders should PM me or find me at The Admiralty building and do the same.
~Captain to Commodore: A Commodore is a Captain who is chosen to lead a small fleet (flotilla), but not given Admirals rank or status. A Commodore's army equivalent would be a Brigadier, so they are decidedly senior to Captains. I choose them based on battle prowess and tactical strength.
~Commodore to Rear Admiral: Rear Admirals command medium sized squadrons, their role is to provide strong recon, or destroy enemy fleets of the same or slightly greater strength. I promote people to this rank when they have gained enough experience.
~Rear Admiral to Vice Admiral: Vice Admirals are expected to be able to lead squadrons and full fleets of up to 20 ships. This is another huge step in the chain of command. I only promote people who have served three months as a Rear Admiral to this position.
~Vice Admiral to Admiral: This is the highest rank an officer can achieve. It is my equivalent, and generally only one person may hold it for every 50 members we have in the group. People who show the utmost naval refinement are awarded this rank.
How do I have so many ranks? Simple. There is an Admiralty Group that houses the Rear, Vice and full Admirals.
How can Admiral be my equivalent in rank? I am Lord High Admiral. The First Lord. Supreme Commander. etc. etc. I have seniority. Senior Captains have sway over juniors. Same with Lieutenants and Admirals.
Why is the cake a lie? I have no idea.

I don't promote TBC or OBC with more than 10 groups unless they show that they will be active in RBRN.
Look at my only captain. He is in tons of groups but he makes an effort to serve RBRN as well.

| From now on, all you have to do for promotion to Midshipman is show some sign of activity. Post something relevalt to RBRN on the wall. Buy the Midshipman uniform. It's really simple. |
