If every site gets shut down That means Internet will be gone!No more Nope.avi and Mentlegen and everything else people are watching! No more mods for games! No more ROBLOX!No more Youtube! The internet will be like a abandoned city!We will be stuck with the things we have! But after all...computers won't be useful! If this law passes, computers won't be useful and home consoles will take over! No!I don't hate PS3, Xbox 360 or Nintendo wii because I have these 3 consoles,1 DSi and 2 DS!If this law passes... then....R.I.P ROBLOX 2004-2011

The US isn't the only world leader. The internet is not theirs so they technically cannot create an internet law.

The SOPA Act basically puts the site owner responsible for any and all content that is on their site. Old or new. They would be committing a crime for distributing copyrighted work even if it was posted before the act.
USERS on the internet can be prosecuted for streaming copyrighted material (videos on youtube, music, etc).
ROBLOX would not be shut down, but uploading decals would get much more difficult, places would have to be filtered, and most of our current decals would be forfeit.

If your name was, say, fluttershy12345 on roblox, your account would have to be sacrificed.

Not many people know their Bill of Rights. I'll explain what may happen IF the law is passed. There will be no chastisement to any uploaded content that is of copyright or something due to the fact the Bill of Rights states DUE PROCESS OF LAW. Due Process of Law is basically that you cannot get punished for something you did (I.E: Uploading content we're talking about) BEFORE a law has been put into effect. HOWEVER, once it is passed ROBLOX will be more strict on what is uploaded, decals, models, etc. Not sure about Games though. |

| ROBLOX cannot be shut down, for the same reason Youtube cannot be shut down. They are not responsible for the materials their users upload, and if an incident occurs, the copyrighted content is deleted. |

Roblox would be commiting the crime of continuing access to copyrighted material after the SOPA act passes. It's like continuing to steal people's lawn gnomes after a law passes that states you can't steal lawn gnomes.

You guys need to research SOPA before making any accusations against it.
You don't get the bill, so you use other laws to understand it.
This bill is called The Internet Killer for a reason.
Seriously, please do your research before saying anything. |

I've watched some debates, and the pro-SOPA debaters have a good case, and they are keeping it to the point by talking about the musicians and developers instead of the average person who wants to watch a video.

A picture of Sonic you drew wouldn't be owned by SEGA. That's not how copyright works.
Since music and videos can't be uploaded to this site, it wouldn't really effect ROBLOX that much. |
